That’s what I think will happen too.

Even in Toy Story 3 the conflict of “your child will grow up and won’t need you” was postponed with Andy giving the toys to Bonnie. She’s going to get older still and give up the toys and it’s just another delay of the inevitable and heartache will restart once again.

Lightning retiring after having one last comeback by beating Jackson would be beautiful, heartbreaking, but hopeful ending that would resolve his internal conflict and having him leave on his own terms. He’d see it as a choice he made, that Doc didn’t have. Doc said there was a whole lot left in him after his crash that he never had the chance to show it, the crash left him bitter and angry at the racing world and he wanted nothing more than to hide and never hear of it again. Lightning doesn’t want to be that, he doesn’t want to be kicked out of the sport he loves, he doesn’t want to become resentful of it when he stops. He wants the choice of retiring, not the fear. Leaving something that you love doing, knowing that you accomplished a lot and made it your choice is a satisfying end.

Him retiring and maybe even becoming Cruz’s crew chief would be his character arc coming full circle, becoming the Doc to a new generation, to Cruz.

I really hope Lightning does retire at the end of Cars 3

Hear me out: yes, they can do a movie where he’s falling behind new tech, refuses to give up, trains with Cruz, gets revamped, goes into another race and shows those whippersnappers who’s boss. And it could be fun and entertaining and have good characters, and have a message that just because you’re old doesn’t mean you’re out! However, the main emotional conflict for Lightning is unresolved. He still has to let go and retire at some point. There will always be new tech. So really, the main conflict is only postponed.

OR

They could do an ending where he does train, he does get new tech. He could potentially beat Jackson Storm. But then he sees what a promising racer Cruz is (isn’t she supposed to be an aspiring racer?). And he starts to reminisce about his career, and he does realize that he’s had a really great one that will leave a legacy no matter what. And that there’s things he can potentially do with his life (and his wife/girlfriend/whatever) after he’s done racing; his life isn’t over just because he retires. So yeah, maybe he does go in and beats Jackson Storm, just to show that he can and to leave on a high note a la Michael Phelps. But then he retires on his own terms, opening a space for Cruz to enter the circuit, because now he realizes that his legacy can last through the new athletes (again, Michael Phelps–he’s getting beaten by guys who idolized him as kids now and he’s cool as long as they aren’t asses about it). It would close the series, like Toy Story 3, with a message of letting go, letting a younger generation take over, and entering a new chapter of your life. In my opinion, a much stronger and more complex film.

My 2nd entry for @vibez_express’ DTIYS. I used @redladydeath's design from their wonderful (and incredibly dark) RAM AU @randomly--accessed--memories.

I was incredibly unsatisfied with my first attempt, especially the background, and decided to redo it. Still not 100% satisfied with it, but nothing’s perfect and I have a time limit.

Celebrating Endgame!

Endgame, it marked the last episode of a saga, a story that built heroes from humble beginnings so they could achieve a destiny they didn’t thought about even if it meant sacrifice their lifes.

That’s right, 10 years ago, Transformers Animated came to an end with the episode Endgame Part 2.

Sadly we couldn’t see how it would have been a fourth season that may never come. Even so, it will be remembered for what it was!

Astrology can sometimes point out 'generational breakers' in someone's chart by looking at some placements, like Lilith, Saturn, Chiron, North Node + Soutu Node, and some more. Generational Breakers can have an ultimate task indicating not wanting kids, not having the desire to have them, ending with a generational ender/bloodline ender

Arriving at "Conclusions"

And the cowboy, knowing he could never return to the town he had just saved sauntered off into the picturesque sunset, the darkening sky overhead looking like a candle dying out, it's orange coat stuck in perpetual shadow. His cowboy hatted silhouette became smaller and smaller as his story ended... Stirrup Trouble Sam reached the Sunset wall and swiftly found the door handle. Opening the door on the Sun, he stepped outside his story. It had been a long day and he was all narratived out. But he was looking forward to the after party drink. For the longest time as he reached the end of each chapter, or scene in the movie adaptation he had chanced him arm getting into that exclusive club. Each time however he was turned away. "If you aint winding down, you don't get in." The Bouncer would bark at him. "This establishment is for a certain final-tele." The 'Conclusions Lounge' was the hottest ticket in town and getting inside was about as hard as lassoing a rain cloud. However Sam had earned his free pass and he was legitimately a resolved character now. Endings are tough on everyone and having a nice place to go for the aftermath was a great source of solace for any character. The Bouncer eyed him but knowing he had finally made the list, he stepped aside pointedly. "Appreciated pardner," the poorly written archetype said tipping on his hat as he walked past. Inside the bar was quite crowded, it was Summer which meant a lot of TV shows were ending and movies were being watched. The Summer reading folk had a good few months to look forward to and wouldn't be darkening these doors for a while yet. People were buzzing around and telling each other the stories of how they ended up here. "Well I have to admit it, " a random man pontificated loudly nearby, "I wasn't sure about my particular storyline ending but it seemed to be very popular and i was so tired anyway, I just said, 'Bring it on!!'I'm thirsty!" The woman next to him responded. "Well at least you had a clear ending. I just dropped out of the story. I know I was a bit part but if they had given me one line indicating my life had continued...Well it would have been work anyway." Sam leaned against the bar and took a look at the drinks menu. He wasn't much of a drinker, all those saloon scenes were a misnomer but a few of the cocktails looked appealing.  "Give me an "Abrupt Stop." "That's not a drink Sir. That's when we cut people off. We had to introduce it after materials started having those multiple endings. Lord of the Rings had a lot to answer for." "Emm..ok then, " Sam pondered. "An 'Up in the Air' then?" "Excellent choice. You never know what you're getting!" Sam was a loner by nature and narrative and so he continued to eavesdrop on the people around instead of engaging with anyone. A soldier was talking to an Alien. "'Conclusions' is so much better than that last place we used to get dropped off at .Remember "Finishing Touches?" That place was always falling apart!" The Alien replied,"Have you heard? It's become a wrap-dancing club now." The solider just shook his head in disbelief. Another man who was standing next to them but wasn't involved in the conversation piped up. "Uhhh...do they provide...um...like...happy endings?" The Solider and the Alien just turned away. A sassy 20 -something year old female protagonist was giving directions to a friend of hers on a contemporary mobile phone. "I'm at the club. Where are you? You're where? Midsection Point? Jesus, that's ages away! You need to follow the arc along the coast and take a left at the Narrative Dead End and you should be able to see this place. It's a light at the end of a tunnel. No don't worry about it! I want you to experience a brand new culmi-nation. I'm just sorry I couldn't pick you up at the Foreword!" The bar man leaned into the cowboy. "Ah listen man, how are you going to pay for that drink? Have you prepared for every eventuality here?" Sam was quick to reply. "Oh don't worry, I have enough. I had a great payoff!" He did wonder where all his co-stars had gone to. Probably a private house party somewhere in the Third Act district. It didn't matter. Being surrounded by those people wouldn't have helped him come to terms with his big ending. Sam was a smart man. This wasn't just the end of his story. He had long felt the Western was running on empty as a genre. His sunset would be the last sunset for a while.

Hours passed and he drank a lot of different concoctions. Outcome Rum, Sting in the tale, Anything with a Twist but the night was winding down. He looked around at all the various supporting casts, the backstory bunch and the tale-ing offs. He slumped his head onto the bar and began to drift off. Waking up a little while later he realised he had to go to the restroom. Staggering, his stirrups scraping across the floor he made his way from the bar. It was then he heard the barman on the phone in the backroom having a loud argument. "YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME. I'M FINISHED!...NO I DON'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT YOU ARROGANT PRICK! I mean if you go through with this deal, this establishment will be gone. And we got a good thing going here. All stories end and we have a reputation for being the best. I mean Penultimates will always be second best. I can't go back to my old job there!" Sam was saddened for the bar-man but also felt expired by what he had heard. He quickly left the bar and began the long walk into posterity.  **************************************************************************************** Conclusions quickly went into for closure. Lots of other venues vied for their business but Endings became quiet affairs. It became the norm for the gatherings to take place in a characters house or for people to spend time with friends and family somewhere special and private. On his first day the conflicted and flawed character stepped out of his story to get some air. He noticed a new building with an enticing sign. "Opening Soon". He couldn't tell if that was a sign or indeed, a bar name.

So, you're seriously telling me that The Empty Grave ends with Lucy putting the UNDYING DEVOTION NECKLACE ON and running down the fucking stairs and then... Nothing? An ending more open-ended than bridge entrance?

Jonathan, that's cruel. Like, more cruel than Marissa.

Im not surprised tho. I just spoiled myself. Again.

Movement of life

I get really giddied up when I think about the people we meet in life. The way the universe/god places people in our path. The connections we share and when we are in sync with another being, this is so mind blowing. These people will leave a footprint in our heart, these important people can either stay in our life or they leave in the physical realm. But it doesn't matter that they leave because being able to live in the moment and accepting that circumstances may chance will leave you in a peaceful state of mind. They will always be there in your heart, because they helped form your heart. There’s no getting over that.

Supernatural ending

So first off I would like to say that I really enjoy supernatural. I am currently on Season 12 episode 8. With supernatural coming up on their 14th season I was thinking about how they could end the show. Now they could probably go pass 14th season but I was still wondering. So here’s how I think they should end it. Supernatural has to end with Sam and Dean dead, this is unfortunate but it’s true. Carry on my wayward son is a must. Standing in front of sam and deans house has to be Mary, John, Jo, Ellen, Bobby, and Castiel. Then we show each of their faces and each one of them say “Saving people. Hunting things. The family Business.” So it would go something like this:

Mary: Saving

John: People.

Ellen: Hunting

Jo: Things.

Bobby: The

Castiel: Family

Dean and Sam: Business

Then it ends with an acoustic version of carry on my wayward son showing everyone else they have loved as family and of course the Impala has to be there.

That is what I hope for.

PART 2

Sorry it took me a while to get round to it, I’ve been pretty busy recently.

Thank you @all-usernames-are-taken for the ideas!

The pain went as rapidly as it appeared. The ringing in my ears disappeared with it. Shaking, I gripped the dresser below the mirror and stared in disbelief at my reflection.

‘It started so suddenly. I was fine, and then suddenly blood was pouring from my ears and nose.’

This couldn’t be possible. The leak from the lab happened three years ago — a virus could never live that long without a host.

But this was no ordinary virus, was it?

I grabbed my phone, and attempted to call the police. There was no signal. I tried to call my clients, the parents of Ava Stone, but I couldn’t reach them either. Part of me knew that that was probably a good thing: I couldn’t allow this virus to spread any further. The damage it was capable of was obvious.

Instead, I turned on my camera, and began to record. I explained everything which I’d discovered, and how important it is to prevent the virus from spreading. If anyone tried to find out what happened to me, hopefully this would be good enough to make my death worthwhile.

I put my phone away and left Ava’s house. Before I died, I wanted to do one last thing: to explore the government lab. The thrill of breaking the law even further filled me with excitement. After all, what did I have to fear?

The lab was about half a mile off the outskirts of the town. Like all of the other buildings, it looked run-down and neglected. The white paint was peeling, and the walls were dirty and yellowed.

I stepped back, then ran forwards and kicked the door with all my weight. All I achieved was a stubbed toe and a sore ankle. I turned my attention to the window. The glass was reinforced with metal, but the frame around it was old and decayed. I picked up a large branch from a nearby tree, and rammed it into the corner of the window, which shattered. I took of my jacket, and lay it over the remaining shards of glass. Then, I leapt up and shoved myself through the tiny window. I was only just small enough to fit — thank god I’d never had a growth spurt.

Inside the lab, it was just as derelict as the outside. Everything was covered in dust, so thick that I sneezed. I made my way through the abandoned rooms, instinctively trying to be quiet, even though I knew there was no one to see me.

Something in the corner of the a room caught my eye. It was a just cupboard, nothing particularly interesting, but something was off about it. Everything was dusty, except for the handle. Someone must have touched it recently.

I crept forwards and opened the cupboard. Instead of revealing shelves of equipment, it had steep stairs leading deep underground.

A secret underground facility underneath an abandoned government lab. Could this day get any weirder?

As I reached the bottom of the stairs, it became clear that this place was well looked-after. It didn’t smell of dust and decay; instead, it reeked of antibacterial spray. The corridors were shiny and white, and no cobwebs could be seen.

And I could hear movement.

I opened a random door and darted through it, hoping nobody saw me. Normally, I’d be more afraid, but what could they do to me? I was going to die soon enough, so I might as well finish solving this mystery.

I turned around and examined the room I was in. It was another corridor, shorter than the previous one, but instead of rooms on the side, there were cells.

Cells with people inside.

I clutched the wall, horrified. People? Real, breathing people in cells underneath a government lab? Maybe they were prisoners, but they didn’t look like prisoners. There were young children behind these glass walls. Dumbstruck, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and hit record.

Cautiously, I rapped on the glass of one of the cells, which held a middle-aged man. He sat up and blinked rapidly. He said something I couldn’t hear, then repeated it, this time screaming the words.

“Help me!”

People in the surrounding cells began to wake up and shout with him. I spun around, filming the scene, until I locked eyes with a young woman. I’d never met her, but I’d seen her picture many times.

It was Ava Stone.

Before I had time to comprehend this, her expression changed to pure terror. But she wasn’t looking at me.

“Turn around, Miss Walton.”

I turned around. A woman in a biohazard suit was pointing a gun at me.

“How do you know my name?”

She ignored me. “Hand me your phone.”

“Why should I?”

“Because I have a gun.”

“I’m going to die anyway,” I replied, with less certainty than I wanted. Ava Stone was alive, and so were all of these other people who I could only assume were from her town.

“No, you’re not. You’re going to be quite ill for the next few days, but you’ll survive. Now come with me.”

I followed her down the corridor, not knowing what else to do. She walked into a room and sat down, still pointing her gun at me.

“Sit.”

I sat.

“Why are you here?”

“Why are they here?” I replied.

“I’m the one asking the questions.”

“Why should I answer? You’re going to kill me anyway.”

“I’m not going to kill you. A dead body has no use.”

“Then why should I answer your questions?”

The biohazard suit covered her face, but I could feel her fury radiating off of her.

“How about this,” she said. “You answer a question, then I answer a question”

That was... actually a pretty good deal. “Sure.”

“Why are you here?”

“I was hired to investigate what happened.” I paused. “Why do you have a bunch of people in cells?”

“We’re trying to create a biological weapon. One which can wipe out entire countries in a day. We pretended the virus was leaked so we could test it on the town, assuming it would kill everyone. Everyone survived. We couldn’t just let everyone leave after what happened, so we adapted our facility to make it look like it was abandoned.”

“That’s inhumane! What do you do with all these people? There are young children!”

“It’s my turn to ask a question. I watched the videos on your phone. How did you figure out what happened?”

“I found a diary. It talked about how there was a leak from the lab and everyone was getting ill.”

“Where is this diary? Do you still have it?”

“My turn,” I said. “What do you do with all these people?”

“We test our viruses on them,” she replied, as if that was the most normal thing in the world. “Now, WHERE is the diary?”

“Ava Stone’s house. 32 Shortbrew Lane. What are you going to do to me?” A dull ringing noise echoed in my ears.

“We’ll test viruses on you, like we do with everyone else. It would be interesting to see how people from different areas and with different races are affected. I can tell that the virus has a faster reaction on you than it does with most people. In fact, from the dilation of your irises, you’ll probably pass out at any moment.”

The ringing noise was getting louder. My head throbbed, and the walls were swaying. The floor reached up to meet me and everything went black.

I opened my eyes. I was lying on a pristine, white bed in a pristine, white cell; and, ew, I was wearing different clothes. The ringing in my ears had disappeared.

The sound of gunshots woke me up properly. Shouts echoed down the corridor, and to my surprise I saw police freeing everyone from their cells. Even more surprisingly, they were accompanied by Mr and Mrs Stone, who were hugging their daughter.

When my cell was unlocked, I raced over to them. “What’s happening? Why are you here?”

“You’ve been gone for a week, so we contacted the police,” Mrs Stone said. “They saw the broken window in the laboratory, so they followed your trail and found all this!”

“We can’t thank you enough.,” Mr Stone said. “If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have found Ava.”

A young man came over me and held out his hand. I shook it politely.

“Hello Miss Walton. My name is Adam Haider, and I am a government official. I have some questions for you about what you’ve discovered.”

“Do you know about the virus?” I asked.

“That’s what I came to ask you about. The—”

“Has anyone left the town recently?” I interrupted him urgently.

“Uh, yes, of course, to inform—”

“The virus is STILL HERE. You need—”

Adam Haider’s radio buzzed. He picked it up.

“What is it? I’m busy,” he snapped.

The voice from the radio replied, “Sir, this is important. Our men are bleeding out of their ears and noses, and some have passed out.”

“Shit,” Haider muttered.

“That’s not all, sir. This has been reported in nearby towns — towns which we sent soldiers to after they examined the area.”

Adam Haider dropped the radio. At first I assumed it was out of shock, but when I saw his face I realised I was wrong.

Blood was trickling out of his ears and nose.

On November 19th, the population of the town of Warmosa vanished. No explanation was ever given by officials and the town was eventually closed to the public.

You‘re a private investigator hired to find the truth behind the event. After trespassing into the town, you find a private journal detailing the events that took place on the days leading up to the disappearance.

POSSIBLE ENDINGS. Sorry, danish prose… https://mantelsroman.wordpress.com/2018/02/15/slutning-mulig/ Summary: The story is in place. The fiction can't be more fictive. Of Course there's still a lot of my figures adjusting details. Like if they deserve their own timeline; if they should be in 1.person and tell their story through their own eyes and mind or if they should be told… So on. As for myself, or "myself" or… -all the characters more or less with parts of me. Including past, present, even future, and lots of memories and memories of me through others thoughts, well… I'm most concerned about the ending. Of it all. Of the story; of "me" and me. I actually don't know. An ending. Yes. But which comes first? The ending of fiction? Or the ending of me? And what really matters? Most? #https://mantelsroman.wordpress.com/2018/02/15/slutning-mulig/ #mantelmomento #danielmantel #laurieandthestoryof #primeiroproximopasso #udenfilter (Not true... NATG XIII - Day 28 Prompt: Draw a pony at the end / Draw a pony finishing a long journey. Originally I was going to do something based on the cover art of "Wandering" from Animal Crossing, but it turned into more of its own thing. I figured the sunset would be a fitting metaphor for "the end".
