I Hate Tolerating Smth For So Long Then Reaching Ur Breaking Point Before U Can Actually Do Anything

if you're a late bloomer and you have had circumstances in your life that led you to slow down and be "behind in life" in comparison to your peers and people you see online, let me tell you that that's totally ok and you can still win in life with slow and steady progress and you are not worth any less than super successful people and comparing yourself to them is unfair because they prob never struggled the way you did but you are still here.

You might have disappointed some people; this doesn’t mean you are a disappointment.

you might not have have met some people’s needs; this doesn’t mean you are a failure.

you might not have received the love you needed; this doesn’t mean you are unlovable. just because you did not meet other people’s expectations doesn’t mean you are fundamentally flawed or a waste of space. You are a human who is growing and learning and trying again.

I’m really ready to just throw in the towel. I have no fight left in me. I can’t take the pain anymore. I can’t take the sorrow and sadness anymore. I can’t take life anymore. Everyone says it gets better, but it keeps getting worse, and theoretically speaking-shouldn’t it be possible that it truly doesn’t get better for everyone?

the thing is i’ve been on tumblr since 2008 - i’m not a reddit refugee - but it’s depressing to me to think of reddit being abandoned because i do think it fills a niche that tumblr can’t fill… they are two very different sites and reddit allowed for immersion into a topic in a way tumblr just … doesn’t.

we can all be interested in scrapbooking, for example, and we can all post about scrapbooking, but reddit allows for a conversation about scrapbooking that spans ten pages and it allows people to stick to that topic for however long they want and it’ll be accessible to everyone - and it will be on a scrapbooking subreddit that makes it easy to find so people could always find the scrapbooking conversations. it’s a site that allows you to ask a question and get hundreds of answers! and that’s just not the culture of tumblr.
