i made the original supercontinent for my planet, as well as the subsequent split continents, and then the present supercontinent so i “could get the mountain ranges and volcano types correct” for my fictional map
There are two types of writers:

The denial is so true! Jily were indeed the biggest influencers. They absolutely haunt the story! Had they not defied voldemort, harry wouldn't even be the prophecy child. Jily's love was the biggest, and I mean the absolutely biggest reason for harry being alive and protected. Many twists and turns in the story had been because of them.
The blood protection, Harry's patronus, the invisibility cloak, their appearances throughout the series, active influence by being order of the phoenix members, appearing as ghosts during the graveyard fight and through the resurrection stone. There's so much more!
This is not meant to say that harry thought about his parents before deciding each and every action because harry is his own person. He's an orphan and he came to terms with that right from the beginning but Jily haunt the story in a broader frame.
It's undeniable that jily are a huge driving force of the entire series.

The concept has been shamelessly stolen (with permission from the lovely @julcheninred) from the Draw Drarry Badly Challenge - if you missed it, go check it out - you won't regret it!
"But I can't draw!" I hear you say... Awesome! Then this is just the fest for you!
"But I don't have time!" Great! Spend 30 seconds on the back of your exam paper, coffee-stained napkin, or meeting agenda. Bad art doesn't take time.
"But I have no ideas!" Draw a scene from your favourite fic or recreate a meme. Just make sure to do it Badly!
"Excuse me, I happen to already be a well-renowned Prongsfoot artist. Do you expect ME to draw Badly?" YES! Draw with your non-dominant hand, wear a blindfold or try your hand at clay sculpturing. I believe in you!!
The rules of the challenge are simple:

”Oh, come on, is he completely thick?" James grumbles, a bit louder than he probably should. "You could answer that just by using logic."
They have a Transfiguration class with Slytherin, and McGonagall has asked Mulciber one of the exam questions. He's been staring into space in front of him for a minute now, continually coming up with more and more unbelievable answers. McGonagall is waiting — Mulciber promised her that if she takes him for NEWT level, he'll become the top of the class.
"His brain's just gone from disuse" says Sirius, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. "Oi, Mulciber!" he continues in a whisper. "Would you donate your head for a Quidditch match? You're not using it anyway."
Laughter spreads from the Gryffindor side, and McGonagall turns her head towards Sirius. Mulciber is about to say something, but the professor stops him with a look:
"Mr. Mulciber, think twice before you start a quarrel."
"As a class, we've pretty much figured out he's got nothing to think with ," Sirius adds quietly, yet loud enough for everyone to hear.
From behind, a weary voice of Remus goes, "Here we go…"
"Mr. Black," the professor's eyebrow menacingly raises. "Do you consider yourself the smartest?"
"Me?" Sirius feigns surprise. "Not me. James," he nods in his direction. "And you, Professor."
James laughs, but McGonagall, apparently, is not amused by this statement.
"Sometimes I think you've reached the limits of your insolence, but you outdo yourself every time, Mr. Black."
"Actually, that's a compliment to you, Professor," James chimes in. "We even composed a song for you yesterday."
"Would you like us to sing, Professor?" Sirius picks up.
Before McGonagall can react, the boys start singing in unison:
"The best professor in the world is Professor McGonaga…"
In the next second, both are pulled out of the room by a spell, and the door slams shut loudly behind them.
"Seems she's not in the mood today," James says through laughter, as Sirius has fallen on top of him. He laughs, burying his face in James's neck, trying to muffle the loudness of his voice.
"Well," Sirius looks up at James with an intense gaze. "Since we've got some free time, what shall we do?"
"The dorm's free," replies James, with a slight smile.
"Reading my mind, Prongs."

The drama girlies are back. Season 3 of that show about a teenage soccer team that sort of survives a plane crash in the Canadian wilderness and subsequently gets up to various dark and disturbing shenanigans is upon us as we speak, and the plot thickens, as it is wont to do. i’m team ben-survives, but if he doesn’t, here’s how i think it would go:
so far all of the character deaths in the past timeline have been accidental. even for javi it was a case of malevolent bystanders, not outright blame. they have plausible deniability for everything.
eating jackie and javi they could justify: they were starving and the victims were already dead, why waste it?
yes, they planned to murder nat, but they gave her the option to run away, and in the end never went thru with it, choosing the let the trolley run over javi rather than take autonomy and pull the lever to switch the track to nat.
with pit girl, we see an extreme switch. they murdered her. i think something needs to happen before then to get them there mentally.
they need to kill someone, take accountability for it, but still feel it justified.
insert ben. it’s spring, natural causes won’t kill him and they aren’t starving, but they can justify murder another way: justice and revenge.
killing ben would be the final nail in the coffin of decent to madness.
i trust walter a far as i can throw him (which is not at all, despite the weightlifting i’ve been doing)
while he is right about how the yellowjackets treat misty—they are shit friends—it’s not his place to say. the healthy response would be to go “hey misty, i really care about you, and i i don’t like that your friends don’t seem to check up on you. maybe touch base with them?”
but that’s not what he does. walter takes the manipulative approach: your friends are fake, i’m the only one who cares about you, i’ve done so much for you, what have your ‘friends’ ever done for you? he’s trying to isolate her from her peers and make misty reliant on him, the stranger she met a few weeks ago who seems way too eager to kill people for her
i don’t think he gives a fuck about misty. i’m not sure what his goals are, whether as a citizen detective he wants to solve the mystery of the yellowjackets, whether he knows someone who didn’t survive, whether he’s a hired pi, or a serial killer, etc…
all i know is he is not to be trusted
listen, the “lottie isn’t callie/wilderness baby’s stepdad, shes the dad who stepped up” jokes are funny, but she’s really shown zero parental behaviour towards either of them. all she’s done is cross boundaries and enforce an uncomfortable amount of ownership over shauna’s kids. it’s creepy, and i’m afraid for callie.
shauna’s kids seem like her pet project, her sacrifice to the wilderness.
we see lottie constantly looking for a connection to the wilderness. first she was the yellowjacket’s guru, but once she lost that she looked to travis to reconvene with ‘It’. she tells him verbatim that she lost her ability to speak to It, and soon after forces him to take more psilocybin.
she was attached to wilderness baby because she deemed it important to the wilderness and needed to insert herself in that importance. when she ‘mourns’ the wilderness baby during the summer solstice celebration she makes it about herself and the wilderness religion. she’s thanking the baby for sacrificing itself for the girls, instead of having some sensitivity for shauna for losing her child.
callie, she’s decided, has ‘power’, and is “the most connected to the wilderness out of anyone who wasn’t actually a yellowjacket”. she’s using callie to get that connection back for herself.
Sorry but Sirius and Remus are the most fully-developed adult characters in HP, in my opinion, and if you think “we didn’t know anything about them” then you’re dumb, no offense.
If you need to be told what they’re like via an info dump paragraph bc you can’t deduce who they are from their dialogue and actions, then you have comprehension issues. No offense but I like…understood who they were when I was eight.
