I have to take medication with lactose in it and like... am still vegan and considered vegan by pretty much anyone reasonable... if I required animal products in some other way and avoided them elsewhere I’d be vegan. veganism is just about doing your best in your own situation!! isn’t that what we should be striving for in everything?
