New sketchbook cover!

Decided I wanted the front of my sketchbook to have some style to it, so I glued on some paper and made Miku and Sally face together

I'm imagining Sal just at a Miku concert with Larry screaming their lungs out.

Вперше займалась чимось накшталт скрапбукінгу. Мені не подобалась обкладинка мого скетчбуку, але я зараз трохи не в тій ситуації, коли можу перебирати. Тому я взяла непотрібні вирізки і створила колаж. Тепер мій скетчбук радує і надихає. Ось результат 🌿

I'd learned how to do ink washes and collaging for my art class, so I used those skills to make this sketchbook cover! I really really love how it turned out ^^ I meant to add more little smoke wisp things but never got around to it. Most of my sketchbook covers end up left somewhat unfinished

There's some easter eggs in this piece that represent stuff i drew in this sketchbook! i'm not going to explain them though :3

Since I recently posted a picture of my most recently completed sketchbook cover, here's a pic of the sketchbook before that. I'd just started trying watercolors in this sketchbook, and I really wanted to incorporate them into the sketchbook somehow. So I took a page from the book and sketched my design, cut the paper into the shapes I wanted, painted the character in with acrylics, painted the field around them with watercolor, and then added the flowers with acrylics on top.

I really love this one, it makes me happy when I look at it ^^
