I had this thought today. These two are more similar than one would think. And thus, I think they'd get along pretty well. Taskmaster being more of the serious one while Ghost being a bit more of the reckless one. And before people begin bashing on the MCU Taskmaster, well guess what? I love her and think she's fine. Y'all need to worry about Kang tbh.

The scene where we find out that Taskmaster is Toni hurts me so much for so many reasons but I think the main one has to be this
The clenching of the jaw, the eye movement, it's the most she reacts to anything in the scene (as proven below)
And in my mind that means she can hear Nat. That she heard her apology. That maybe she, too, wanted to fight. And that makes everything hurt a little bit more.

I might just be interpreting this wrong but she has photographic reflexes and memory problems so like does she attack someone with something she's learned and then just go "huh... I didn't know I could do that." sometimes??
It's not the best thing I've ever made but I didn't use any base poses & it's like the fastest I've ever made an animation in my life so I'm very proud of this

I feel like we need to pay more attention to the fact that Toni is a great fighter and she's super powerful with the suit but she also can't do math or spell past like a 4th grade level?? Idk I think about this a lot
Okay I'm as angry as anybody, if not angrier, over Toni's death. She deserved so much more development. She deserved to at least die with some dignity but instead her character was put down like a dog. That said, I think a lot of people don't realize that there are roughly ten years between Black Widow and Thunderbolts*. She did not escape the red room and die right away, she was free for ten years. That's ten years worth of freedom, roughly the same amount she was mind controlled for. She had time to adjust to the world. She had time to have relationships and find/build family. Though I doubt she had to search much, I'm sure the Widow's didn't just abandon her. Lerato definitely didn't. That makes the way her death was treated worse. She had a life outside the red room and it was disregarded like it didn't exist.
