Vi has been beating the piss out of this man for 7+ years 😭

idk if this is a controversial take but I'm sick and tired of people saying 'Oh Danny ric should come back and replace *second driver at redbull*' 'Like this post and Daniel Richard will come back'

like most of it is light hearted but some people are getting a bit obsessed

if you had said that at any point before mid last year, I'd agree, or atleast understand where you're coming from.

but the amount of people who are set on the fact this man MUST be back in a car next season feels off to me.

like the joy and beauty of this sport have been tarnished for him, he has been sent through the ringer more times than anyone deserves these past couple years and he deserves to enjoy his life beyond the sport.

would I love to have him back? absolutely

but i think theres a point in which I find myself asking if its really the best thing for him him/something he wants.

it will always be something important to him, and I don't doubt he will stay maintain connections and an enjoyment but I don't think he would want to drive again, or atleast for now
