I recently watched the first season of Jeeves & Wooster because I saw some of my Holmes blogs posting about it and I crave homoerotic tension. And because I quite liked the show I thought I’d read the source material before watching any further.

So I kind of naturally assumed that the books would be less gay because there isn’t the element of onscreen chemistry and they started coming out literally 100 years ago etc etc. But then I crack open the books and every 2 pages Bertie’s going “Jeeves and I are having a fight 😔 all because he says my tie doesn’t suit my complexion 🙄”

And then when Jeeves inevitably saves the day and Bertie gets rid of his ugly tie or whatever Bertie’s like “Jeeves has forgiven me 🥹 domestic bliss restored 🥰 by the way I’ve never understood why men and women get married to each other🧐”

AAAAAHHHHH HEHE! OH MY GOODNESS!

I Love them so much! I spose it is a bit difficult to put my idea into one of those 'to/from' card drawings, but I do absolutely love these little sketches none the less, haha! I love Berties little sort of half confident awkward smile as he's trying to explain in the first sketch, and Jeeve's almost mortified expression, and then in the second when Jeeves is so confident and swave, and Bertie has to do a double take to make sure he heard it right! Brilliant! AND I didn't expect you to do both of them, which is even better!, definitely the best way to start my day today!

An idea for your little Valentines card things, because I love the first one, and I loooove your art style, both toony and the more realistic one!

Some sort of one where by Jeeves for example says something perfectly innocent but perhaps could be taken out of context, and Bertie is looking at him very bewildered. Or vice versa, if for example Bertie is making some kind of modern valentines request that Jeeves doesn't quite understand.

Thanks for the request! These didn’t quite turn out as proper Valentines, more like little silly sketches, but honestly, drawing them was an absolute delight. I tried to capture the feeling of bewilderment in both of them—at least, why not? Hope they bring you as much joy as they did me!
