Everyone was exhausted, nobody got a good sleep for a week cause of Joker. “Don’t think the mission is done yet people!” Fury said. All the avengers looked at each other and then looked towards Fury waiting for him to continue. Unlike you who started whining like a baby and hit your head on the desk!

“What do you mean?” Tony questioned. “We put him in Belle Reve and added some of our best S.H.E.I.L.D fighters! What can go wrong?” Bruce exclaimed. “That’s what you think but Joker can escape anything before you know it!” You knew he can. “God dammit! WHYYYY?” You cried out loud. “And guess who he would want to get to first?” The whole room vibrated with your name! “ME? Why me?” You questioned.

“You were the one who was assigned to be his other side in the mission. You pretended to be his girlfriend and the one thing Joker hates is…” “Liars” Tony whisper yelled. “Okay but I told him there actually wasn’t anything between me and him! That everything I ever told him or did towards him was just for this mission!” You replied.

“Why would you say that?” Natasha asked. “I don’t know! I thought it was a good idea at the moment.” You mumbled the last part under your breath. “What else did you say?” Bucky asked. “I maybe told him Iworkforsheild!” You said the last part fast. “What did you say?” Wanda asked again. “OKAY FINE! I TOLD HIM I WORK FOR SHEILD!” You yelled and got out of your chair. Everyone was surprised that you, Y/n, would make such a stupid move! You were kind of panicking now. “What did he say for those things?” Clint questioned. “Okay so this is what happened…” You were gonna only tell them half of it.

You kept a distance from his prison cell just for safety reasons because you regret everything you did! Even though he’s a cruel, cold, heartless monster, he did have a good side to him that people rarely see! You and the other Avengers were waiting for his arrival at his new home and then you saw him. You had a gun just in case he were to do something stupid!

As soon as he saw Tony,Natasha,Steve and Bucky, he knew all this is happening cause of the Avengers. “Hahaha it was you guys! How did this even happen?” He still didn’t see you yet since you left the place. You wanted to come in after he was locked or when he was going to get locked. All though you were further away from the cell, you did hear everything clearly.

You soon walked in and Joker started laughing! “There she is! My doll is here to kill all of you! She’s the strongest girl I’ve ever seen! She’s my girl, my angel, my sweetheart! I knew she would come to save me!” He retorted happily. You felt really guilty inside, you felt dead inside cause of what you’re doing to the Joker! “What are you waiting for? KILL THEM!” He demanded but you couldn’t.

“Agent Red Fury (That’s your superhero name), it is nice to see you again!” Nick greeted you with a smile. You didn’t want to look at Joker since you don’t like his face when he’s angry. “Agent Red Fury? Who the FUCK IS AGENT RED FURY?“ He yelled for an answer. You had to finish what you started so you forgot everything you’ve done with him and went calmly towards him.

“Hello Joker! It’s nice to see puddin in jail isn’t it?” You said with a smirk. Joker had anger in his eyes, you’ve never seen his face with this much anger and knowing you caused it! BOI that’s bad. “YOU! I…YOU FUCKING CUNT! HOW DARE YOU PLAY WITH THE JOKER!” All the avengers were scared for the first time except you. To be honest you’re shit scared too! But you’re gonna go with the flow! “It’s funny how you actually thought a girl like me would fall in love with you!” You said walking towards him with your arms crossed.

You told the guards to stay near the doors and to release his hand cuff. After they did that they raced towards the entrance to make sure he had no way of escaping. Joker played with his hands for awhile. “Doll! That was a horrible move! You know never to play with the Joker right? Didn’t I teach you that?” He was walking towards you. “Yes! You also taught me your ways and secrets of fighting! That would be really useful right now!” You looked at Joker in the eye and then before you can act, he slapped you really hard on the side of your face. You felt the sting on the cheek for a good 10 to 20 seconds and then grabbed your gun!

You looked around and saw Clint, Steve and Natasha holding a gun. You got up and pointed the gun straight towards Jokers forehead. “You’re gonna shoot me? DO IT!” Obviously he saw which gun you were holding and it was his favourite gun! “I’m not gonna shoot you with your own gun! I’m not that mean! I’d rather just kick you in the nuts and leave!” You told the others to leave and it was just you, Joker and 2 other guards.

Joker was put in his cell and you were standing right in front of it. Joker was sitting on the floor. “Mister J?” You whispered. He looked up and stayed there staring. “I’m sorry Mister J! I don’t know what happened to me!” He stood up and walked towards the bars. “Baby girl just get me out of here and then you can join me for real!” He said. His hands were now holding on the bar and you were close to it as well. “I thought you can’t trick the Joker but I just did!” You said laughing.

He got really angry and grabbed your neck. “You think you’re real funny don’t you? Let me show you what’s funny once I escape this prison! You can’t hide Sweetheart! Never from the Joker!” He threatened while having you in hold. Struggling to breathe you asked, “Did…you.act.ually….love..m..me?” At this point you were crying so he let go of you.

With teary eyes you turned towards the guards and demanded them to leave! After they left you turned towards Joker and saw that his eyes were red! You stole the keys to his cell. You used your power to bust the cameras. You opened the gate and walked in locking the door behind you. You were standing there, you wiped your tears and looked up. “You still didn’t answer my question?”

You had a fake smile on your face and he noticed that. He moved closer and slapped you once again. You yelped, you felt the stinging sensation and then he had you in a choke hold AGAIN. “This is why I love you! You can take all the pain, the abuse! You could’ve left but you didn’t. Even though your mission was to catch me or kill me, you saved me multiple times. That’s exactly why I love you Y/n!”

With that said you hugged him tightly. Surprisingly he hugged you back! You both started hearing things from the loud speaker. “ GUARDS PLEASE GO TO JOKERS CELL! I REPEAT, GO TO JOKERS CELL RIGHT NOW!” He pulled away from the hug and kissed you passionately! You returned the kiss and this went on for 2 minutes probably. You pulled away and said, “I’m sorry J but everything has to end here, right now! I don’t wanna leave you but this has to happen! You have to hate me! Whatever you do, only know me as the girl who put you in Belle Reve prison.” Joker looked mad and yelled, “SO YOU’RE GONNA FUCKING LEAVE ME? ARE YOU INSANE? I CAN’T FORGET YOU!”

You pushed him away and locked the gates. You stood right in front of him, only the bars separating you. “If I had to choose you or the avengers, I’ll choose them over anyone! KNOW THAT! Why do you think I said I’ll take the mission? Because I have a dark side and a bright side. And you’re feelings are easy to play with and here I am, standing in front of you as your ex-girlfriend.” “EX? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN EX? YOU FUCKING BITCH! I FUCKING HATE YOU!”

You looked at him and said, “I’m an Avenger, a hero, not a villain!” “Don’t fucking think this is the end Red Fury! I will come and find you, and make you pay for what you’ve said and done to me! I’ll still love you no matter what!” He repeated. “I DON’T FUCKING LOVE YOU JOKER! I DON’T WANT TO BE KNOWN AS A VILLAIN JUST CAUSE I WAS IN LOVE WITH ONE! IF YOU ESCAPE, I’LL STILL BE THE REASON WHY YOU’RE IN PRISON AGAIN. I DON’T FUCKING CARE IF YOU DIE IN HERE, JUST DON’T COME LOOKING FOR ME! I don’t love you anymore!” You said leaving the place with tears. “Y/N! Y/N! DON’T YOU WALK AWAY FROM THIS CONVERSATION! THIS ISN’T OVER BABY GIRL!” You heard Joker scream and bang on the bars! “LEAVE ME ALONE FOR FUCK SAKES!” You yelled back.

“Keep an eye on him guys! He’s not the one to last in a prison for a week! He’ll find out a way to contact Frost! Oh and sorry about the cameras, the reason why they weren’t working was my fault! I’m not fixing it though!” You said not taking charge. “If he does escape, I’ll kill all of you guys!” You threatened the guards and left.

More often than not, you feel like the mediator between them. You kind of keep them balanced – stop them from going overboard, though admittedly, it’s rare when they reach such a point.

They also really appreciate how you spare them the psychoanalysis – they get enough of it when they’re thrown into Arkham and treated like odd spectacles. 

They’re really possessive/protective. If someone even so much as thinks of threatening you, or, even more idiotic, makes it known they ARE, best believe they’re bringing out the big guns. They’ll rain hellfire upon them. This is perhaps the only time where the dynamic duo can work together.

In the dead of night, when he returns from whatever havoc he’s stirred, he crawls into your bed and pulls you against him, arms embracing you loosely.

This is when he’s at his most affectionate. His exhaustion most likely adds to those falling walls. 

Most of the time he thinks you’re asleep when this occurs but, spoiler, you’re not; the gentle upturn of your lips the only indication of such. You don’t think you’d ever give the fact away either, fearful of him receding back into his shell to the point where affection is null. Either way, you’re happy with him.

By the morning, he’s gone, already making plans (or executing them).

He seldom shows you his actual face, behind all the makeup. In all honesty, you don’t know the reasoning behind this, and you don’t think you ever will. While he’s blunt, he’s just as secretive; there’s always something going on in the back of his mind.

Sorry for being AWOL these last days, college is a pain lol. Enjoy :))

Arthur:

Arthur is very shy in his advances, so the most likely scenario is that you’ll have to make the first move because this poor man is just petrified at the idea of pushing you away or scaring you

He will often come to your house to hang out and watch a movie or listen to some music. Not the most entertaining of things, but any time spent with you is time well spent

His go-to on any occasion is trying to make you laugh

The most flirtatious things he’s done always happens when he’s showing you magic tricks. Whether it’s pulling out a bouquet of flowers or purposely handing you cards with hearts, this is the most hints you’ll get out of him

When you talk, his whole body literally turns and angles itself towards you, completely hooked on your every word

If you’ve had a bad day or are just feeling down and need someone to listen your problems, he’s right there for you. Will listen to you vent for hours, genuinely concerned about you and offering help in any way he can

He’s your shoulder to cry on anytime you need, because to him, showing concern and care is his way of subtly reminding you he thinks of you and your happiness

Will invite you to his act at Pogo’s, his eyes filled with innocent hope that you’ll say yes

Arthur will also write you letters. Trying to be as mysterious as possible, he signed them as “secret admirer”, but his writing was so distinctively his that you caught on immediately

When you confronted him about it he started blushing profusely, stuttering out an apology.

You just smiled and pressed a quick kiss to his lips, silencing any paranoid thoughts that plagued his mind right then and there.

Joker:

Makes you flustered on purpose

Compliments you on your appearance exactly twice a day. Why so specific you ask? It’s not too much to make it seem obvious that he’s paying so much attention to the details, but just enough to leave you crazy, wondering if you’re just overthinking his affections or if there’s actually something going on between you two

Joker tries to impress you constantly, whether it’s luring you in with is dance moves or something more extreme like showing you his gun

Always places his hands on you to remind you of his presence. It’s always very innocent- a hand on your shoulder, holding your hand when he wants to drag you somewhere, tapping you to get your attention. If it was anyone else it wouldn’t seem like anything… but you can feel the heat and desire that comes from his touch right through your clothes

When the both of you are together, he’ll tease you non-stop. It’s never malicious, but just playful and lightly mocking enough to make you blush and pout

Only has eyes for you. You could be walking down the street together and run into a group of Joker fan girls cheering for him, and his eyes would never leave you

If you lean in to hug him when you two meet up somewhere, he’ll take your hand and kiss the back of it, eyes devilishly studying yours

One time he took it up a notch and kissed both your cheeks in greeting. When you turn red and demand an explanation, he just scoffs and goes “It’s European”

Not to fret though, Joker isn’t one for wasting time. He’ll make the first move before you even think about doing it yourself, and then he’s never letting you go

I have a headcannon that this Joker doesnt tolerate women or children being harrassed or abused. Anyone being harrassed for that matter.

If Joker saw a man telling a woman to acknowledge him, or to smile at him, Joker would warn the man to back the fuck off. If the man didn't, Joker casually shoots the guy.

If any blood gets on the girl, he'd offer his handkerchief to her.

If Joker sees a trans person being beaten, he doesn't even bother to threaten. He shoots the assailants without question.

Anyways, I just really love this idea of Joker being a vigilante of justice against sexual harrassment of any kind. 💜💜💜

Alright, if you survived this, you were moving to Alaska, maybe a different country. You didn’t care where as long as it was somewhere far, far away from Gotham. The only reason you still lived here was because you’ve been here all your life, you even took up a job at a bank so you could stay even though in a city like this that was a job no one would ever want, in fact, today was your third day. You thought that maybe the crime rate would go down next month, the one after, next year for sure. But now here you are, paying the price for your naivety laying on the floor of the bank as masked men with guns threatened to shoot someone if they didn’t get their money. You sighed deeply, this day just couldn’t get any worse.

But of course, the universe heard your thoughts and threw a hissy fit.

All of a sudden you felt yourself being yanked by the back of your shirt and thrown back down on the floor, hard. You yelped in pain and in surprised as your face slammed down on the cold tile, tasting fresh blood in your mouth from a new gash on your lip. You whipped your head around only to find yourself staring down the barrel of a very large gun and started to scoot backwards quickly. He lumbered towards you and grabbed the back of your neck with meaty fingers, tighter than what you thought was necessary, and brought your head to eye-level.

“Open the vault!”

You stared at him, unsure of what to do. Apparently you hesitated too long because he started dragging you over to the large hunk of cold metal that was the bank vaults door and threw you against it with bone crushing force. Your head banged against the door and made your teeth chatter as you looked back to the maniac with a gun.

“Are you deaf? Open the door!” He yelled again, this time raising his gun to point it at you.

A cold pit started to form in your gut, “I can’t,” You stated, which was true. You couldn’t open the vault, you hadn’t been given the code to unlock the door yet, you were still too new to be trusted.

You couldn’t see his face but you assumed it looked beet red, “What? What was that? I didn’t quite here what you just said. Speak a little bit louder for me!” He shoved the gun closer to your face.

Trying to take an almost calm breath you stated again, “I can’t open the door. I just started working here.”

“Oh yeah? Well, ‘newbie’, I think you’re lyin’, trying to be the hero, well, that’s not goin’ to fly here! Now, open the door on the count of five or you’re dead. One.”

The pit in your stomach started growing. Oh god, you thought, he’s actually going to do it, I’m going to die here.

“Two”

You were thinking fast, trying to find a way out of this. Nothing came to mind that wouldn’t get you immediately killed.

“Three!”

Then you saw it, his gun wasn’t held to him by anything. Maybe, just maybe, if you could get that gun you could find a way out of this.

“Four!”

Ahh, what the hell, you thought, I’m about to be shot anyway, might as well try. And lunged for his face.

He was cut off mid number when you smacked the gun to the side and kicked him in the knee. He gasped loudly and loosened the grip on the weapon and you snatched it out of his grip. He recovered quickly though and came at you but you swung the firearm like a bat and clubbed him in the head. It wasn’t pretty or graceful but he fell like a sack of potatoes. You stood up, smirking with satisfaction as you realized something, what about the other gunmen?

As if on cue you hear the distinctive click of a hammer being thrown back. Turning slowly you were met with another black metal barrel, close enough this time to touch your nose. You gulped rather loudly and closed your eyes. No getting out of this one. A thunderous boom went off like canon fire and you flinched, but you didn’t feel anything. Were you already dead? No, that’s not it. You opened your eyes to see the other gunman fall with a growing dot of red over his chest. Hearing noise behind you, you were met by a man with rather green looking hair and red face paint over his mouth like a splash of blood. He held a gun too, but not at you, a little toward your right, where the other man once stood.

He looked at you lazily and licked his lips, “You just can’t find good help these days. They’re always, running off and making decisions for themselves,” Suddenly he shot the man you had clubbed down too, “Really rather annoying if you ask me.”

Staring at him with wide eyes you thought, what is going on? Who is this guy? I should be dead right now.

He licked his lips again, “Ah, you must be confused. You see, I find you… interesting. I’m not just going to let you go off and die when I have plans for you now am I?”

“Pl… plans?”

“Oh yes, big ones. Very big ones. Don’t go skipping town now.” He started walking towards the back room.

There wasn’t a back door, you thought, why is he going there? Just then he grabbed two things out of his jacket pocket. One he threw to you, “Here’s my card, and remember, big plans!”

The other thing he threw into the room. It looked like a cartoonishly big grenade. You flinched as a blast came from the room and smoke billowed out through the doorway. You opened your eyes again only to find that the stranger had disappeared. You looked down at the card and frowned. It wasn’t a business card or anything official like that, it was a playing card.

The Joker, to be exact.
