You know what makes this even funnier than it already is? This scene literally excuses all of Gabriel's actions as Hawk Moth. The maturity of the writers truly is 🤌
Do the writers understand there are kids out there with criminal parents, parents or relatives in jail (or overall just abusive ones) and it's not all "but they're trying to be better 🥺"? That it's not about "but I love them please don't hurt them 🥺" but more "I WISH they loved me and I WISH they were better" - that even if a kid would want to believe nothing bad should happen to their parents, you need to face the consequences of your actions and sometimes that's jail. Cause that's why jail exists!
Hell, some kids break up contact with their parents later cause they treated them like sh*t and were sh*tty parents all their lives. Why should they keep around such a person? And it most definitely SHOULDN'T be encouraged to keep toxic people around you cause "tHeY'Re FaMiLy"
Some wish they could escape their situations and some, if they're lucky, can. And they're happy about it! A lot of these times kids face severe trauma and some never truly get out of it even years later. And in this case we are talking about an actual criminal, wanted by the police probably for years, who, on top, tried to force his son into a criminal activity. And technically we don't even know how often he forced Ivan into such an action
You know the quote "blood is thicker than water"? Guess what? It's not only toxic but WRONG. This is what happens when you shorten the original quote and switch the meaning. Here's the actual quote: "Blood of the covenant is thicker than water of the womb" - see how the meaning takes a 180 turn?

Polymouse/Mylene is a very interesting character in MTS, as she seems fairly similar to her original counterpart, but a significant part of her background (and by extension, how she connects to the plot) is quite different…
AU August - Day 6 - Hogwarts
Why did I decide it was a good idea to draw the entire class? Let's just say I went a little overboard with a Miraculous Ladybug Hogwarts au. I figured a boggart defence against the dark arts lesson would be fun to draw. I’ve got this sad horrible headcanon that Adrien’s boggart would be his dad.

It wasn’t much of a task. They were supposed to write down their childhood dream for class.
But for some reason Adrien had still struggled with the task.
He watched a lot of old recordings and looked at his drawings and some pictures.
In the end, he was satisfied with the outcome of his research.
And Mme. Bustier was now asking everyone what their childhood dream was-is, it depends.
She started with Nino, logically.
“I wanted to be a bubble breathing dinosaur.”
Nino earned a few chuckles for that.
“What a nice dream, Nino. Adrien?”
“Oh, I always wanted to be what my parents want me to be and to make them proud of me.”
“How nice of you, but do you also have a childhood dream of what you wanted to be for yourself and not your parents?”
“I just want to be the perfect son for them and make them proud.”
“Alright. Marinette, what is your childhood dream?”
Adrien felt like he said something wrong, maybe he understood the task wrong.
“I dreamt of being the knitting fairy.”
“Well, you’re on a good way to become a sewing fairy. Alya?”
“I’m not sure miss, I can’t remember and neither can my family.”
“That’s alright, Alya, don’t worry. Ivan?”
“I wanted to have long and pretty hair like my mother.”
“Your hair may not be very long but it’s very pretty. Nathaniel, what about you?”
“I dreamed about being a comedian.”
No, he did understand the task right and he did as told.
“I have to say, some of your comics are pretty funny. Juleka?”
“Do I have to?”
“No, of course not. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing then that’s completely fine. Rose, do you want to share?”
“I wanted to be an angel because they help people like doctors or fairies.”
Maybe Mme Bustier didn’t like his answer, but he fulfilled the task.
Mme Bustier smiles sadly at that.
“You would’ve been the greatest angel. Max?”
“Roboter.”
“I hope building one is as good. Kim?”
“...”
“He fantasized about being a model.”
It was an interesting thought.
“I don’t know if this was you place to answer Alix, but your turn now.”
“I wanted to be the best at everything I want break every existing rule or boundary.”
“Then nothing much changed. Myléne?”
“I-i often pretended to be a plant.”
“What a beautiful dream. Okay, Chloé?”
“I wanted to be like my mommy.”
There’s it again! The same expression Mme Bustier had at his answer!
He knew Chloé and her mother didn’t have the best relationship so it was understandable.
But what is wrong with his answer?
He doesn’t have much time to dwell on it as the class broke out into laughter over Sabrina’s childhood dream wanting to be a Rock’n’Roll legend, not being able to imagine it.
