idk if this is a ship you give any fucks about but klavier/sebastian hcs :3c
YAS! THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SHIP!!!
[I care about and love all non-problematic ships. As long as it's not illegal in my book, then yes I'll make headcanons of it.]
Alr, here we go!!
1.
Klavier and Sebastian were neighbours/neighbors when they were 10-15 and they knew each other back then. They got along really well and Sebastian was really sad that Klavier was gonna go back to his home country [Germany] to study law. He promised him he'd come back in 2 years and they called and FaceTimed each other a LOT during these 2 years.

When Klavier came back, he immediately hugged Sebastian in the airport and said "You have no idea how much I love you and how much I missed you..." and he straight up kissed Sebastian on the lips and that was Klavier's confession and how they came to be.
3.
Miles does NOT assign them to work on cases together because he knows that Klavier will keep flirting with Sebastian and they will not get any progress done. So he always assigns them on cases separately.
4.
When they wake up on their first off day of the week, they play Super Mario and when they get tired of it, they'll play some awful mobile games that Klavier has downloaded the night before or they'll play some random horror games that Sebastian found somehow until they hug each other in fear and are unable to sleep and jump at every little sound they hear.
5.
On their 2nd and final off day of the week, they build forts and use some wooden swords that they bought and then playfully sword-fight, have pillow fights and at the end of the fay, they try to make dinner but fail miserably and order takeout.

They both do the dumbest things without thinking at all. They almost burned the prosecutors building twice, they stole Simon's and Nahyuta's spare katanas, tried to play with them but ended up almost breaking the katanas somehow and yes they were chased to the ends of the earth by Simon and Nahyuta. They tried to steal one of Franziska's whips, Franziska caught them and they made off with the whip as she was chasing them to the ends of the earth.
7.
They watch movies and then discuss them very thoroughly right after. They memorise/memorize things VERY quickly and they remember all the lines that they liked.

And to be afraid of the closed off.
That they had to have done something

If they had nothing to say.
That if you weren’t open
Then you weren’t worthy of trust.
We say things we don’t want to,
Because silence has become a crime,
Because our safety and comfort
Is at the bottom of the barrel.
When we speak up
Nobody listens
They say we are crazy,
Because that is what history says.
Because that society taught it.
We are taught
That without a partner
Are we really human?
Without love
Without attraction
Without sexual activity
Wouldn’t we be robots?
Wouldn’t you have to be an alien?
And then when we express the attraction we have,
We are told that it is wrong,
And are instilled a fear
Of speaking about who we love
Just in case the person we talk to
Has a fear
And has a weapon
Even if that weapon
Is a word.
We are taught
That fear isn’t real
And that if we have one
We are weak.
When in reality
We are the strong ones
Because we live every single day
Having to know
That the fear is there
And the object could be around at any time.
For me, it is the dark
Because something could be there
And I am most vulnerable
When I cannot see.
For a friend, it is heights
Because you cannot catch yourself
When pushed off of a building.
For another, it is people
Because of what they might say
Or what they might do
And they have to have hope
That someone doesn’t snap
And decide that it was their time.
Fear is not a weakness
It is a strength
That we have been taught
As a necessity.

As for the question, I think I should point some of the things out:
- First of all, the Frostpegg duo has incredible chemistry both on and off set and every scene including both of them just. looks GOOD bc they work together so well and their interactions are something else;
- Secondly, Hot Fuzz is a gay gay romcom. And it works! It's not annoying enough for me to hate the ship, which, to be honest, is rare;
- I am DOWN BAD for the "ah he's so tough and serious but he has a soft spot for the only special person in he life/ ah he's so dumb such a small little scrunkly but so cheerful and so cute" trope *coughs intensely, sliding my sketches under the bed simultaneously*
- simon pegg is a slut and there is no choice for me but to reach out to him with my filthy slutty hands and ship him with the lads;
So,
HF is a comedy, aimed, in general, to make fun of things, but Angelbutter stands out. I suppose Simon&co just went like "what if nick wins a stuffed toy for danny at the fare? oh yeah, let's make them watch movies and fall asleep together! etc etc" - purely random clichés just for fun, but they, in fact, worked! Worked because they fit the story and the characters - Nick doesn't get along with Danny just because they are in a romcom, but because he is naive, easygoing - an unexpected characteristics for Angel as he's used to boring, serious big city policemen(police officers, har har har), because he shows Nick that his job doesn't have to be his whole life, because Danny stands up for him, after all. Relationship is all about sharing the experience and the knowledge.
Someone has pointed out the parallels between Nick's relationship with his actual ex and his relationship with Danny - how different they are, and how much better does Angelbutter work because of how different Danny is.
I think what also works in Angelbutters favor is that they aren't actually canon, so their love line isn't stretched and doesn't look far-fetched or unrealistic - it's extremely lighthearted, as it should be, and it makes me believe in it, because they act like actual people would.
All in all- I love Angelbutter!! They are extremely sweet and boyfriends material, totally on my priority list X3
P.S. i don't draw them mostly bc danny's face is complicated, but these things take time and i'll figure it out >:)
