Here’s Serpent, from my Miraculous Serpent AU! Feel free to ask anything you’d like!
The Hawk Moth/Papillon Pop doesn't come with his kwami, so I fixed that.
Some after work Instagram browsing brought up an unexpected gem today as it randomly decided to show me some automatons.
I haven't seen any since childhood, where I vaguely recall them featuring on quirky supernatural or spooky shows as creepy curiosities from time to time.
I hadn't realised that they were still made or indeed that they could be made into such beautiful creations. With serenely swimming whales, cantering horses and fluttering birds & insects.
I decided to see if I could make a basic one using bits and bobs from my room. This ended up including black card, scissors, a bamboo skewer from one of my orchids, wire and wire clippers, a thin cylindrical ice cream stick that I saved from a kulfi, and hot glue and my glue gun.
It took a bit of time to wrap my head around the (admittedly very basic) mechanics and the end result is liable to come apart at the seams if I so much as think about turning the mechanism too vigorously. But I am happy with my first attempt.
If I can figure out how to make a less slap dash mechanism then I might make a realistically painted deaths head hawk moth automaton. I am rearing some caterpillars of this species so I am ever so slightly obsessed with them at the moment. You can see the caterpillars at the top of this post and I don't think I am alone in thinking they are absolutely gorgeous little buggers.
These days I have enough thoughts and feelings about Adrien (and Gabriel Agreste and sentiadrien and everything) to write a dissertation, but art is easier
So, uh, I wrote more stuff for the all left au by @sabertoothwalrus . . .
I think this AU has (sadly) died down a little, but I'm not done with it. I will never be done—
But for real, I'm planning two more stories in this universe, both of them multi-chapter. I'm referring to them in my head as "the recovery fic" and "the prosthetic fic" (in which Adrien will not actually get a prosthetic, yes it's weird, bear with me). The prosthetic fic will probably be written first, since I have more ideas for that one, but I still hope to write the recovery fic someday. I'm also considering an epilogue, and I'll probably throw in some one-shots if I'm so inspired.
I was reading an ML fic where Ladybug mentioned being scared whenever she saw butterflies in the park, and I just couldn't get this image out of my head:

I couldn’t resist sharing this one right away. I really just wanted to draw 1) his gorgeous lips and 2) a butterfly on his finger. It turned into a very nice drawing. I’ll probably paint him later. …He’s kinda hot to me now. I had to ignore the show’s stylization with the giant eyes to see that.
Were originally planning to just redraw an old basic post, the two of them jumping over a rooftop but felt… nah. I’m not satisfied with my Miraculous-work. I need to do something big, something detailed, something filled with love and wow and oof. And I had done like posters and phone-backgrounds before but never given Miraculous a real character-filled wallpaper before like Spider-Man, Star Wars or Justice League so here! Probably my most claustrophobic wallpaper yet but actually losing to both Spider-Man 2 and Life is Strange with just 15 characters compared to their 16! But this is filled with full body-drawings, fully drawn, zero traced faces or anything and took like a week to make thanks to also working now, so the longest project to date! You’re welcome!
I wanted something to represent the whole Agreste-Saga and had a ton of different ideas and sketches to pick from. There was the book, the rings, the wall between them, all the supportive casts including drama, rivals, a mysterious cousin, 5 whole seasons of stories but I think I managed to mush it all down to one final product!
Imagine if they put this in the Miraculous movie instead of the Hawkmoth rap
The only thing that would've made Party Crasher better is if the YMCA knockoff they sang was those Mothman tumblr posts from a while ago
