the thing i find most interesting about dr robby is the amount of times another character mentions how unlike himself he is today. we are not seeing baseline dr robby. we are not seeing him on a regular day. i like the dr robby we see and i enjoy watching him run the pitt, but this is him stresed and sad and in a bad mood, apparently. everyone is insisting, truly, honestly, that from the first moment of the day he is not right. and i find that so wildly fun.
we have never met the real dr robby. what he's like on any other day is a mystery.
For me the most difficult-to-believe moment in The Pitt is when Dana calls Robby a 'sad boy' and Collins asks what that means.
As if its some of the more inscrutable Gen Z lingo, and not something that this brilliant goddess can definitely deduce the meaning of just by looking into the woeful face of that pathetic man

addiction, like ptsd, is a disease and both robby and frank are at their lows and taking it out on each other in the wrong way

i hope the show tackles that in some way
Two characters I would love to see have more screen time together and develop a mentor-mentee relationship are Mel and Abbot. They are two of my favorite characters. With Mel's experience at the VA, she could possibly have skills, techniques, and knowledge to help Abbot if he experiences something that brings up a memory and Robby or Dana aren't there to help, especially with the second season being set over Fourth of July.

Slowly, everyone (except maybe Mel and Robby) starts joining in on it.
Abbott, passing on some paper from night shift to day shift, has taped a picture of the turtle to the back.
People start changing his contact photo to that damn picture. Whitaker timidly approaches him (having been forced by Santos to help), hands him a hand-drawn photo of it folded up, and runs the hell away.
Eventually, it becomes such a meme around the ER, that a lot of people have no idea where it even came from. There’s even a photo hidden somewhere in chairs.
I think I might love that idea too much guys 🤧
One day, Langdon really pisses off Santos, and she decides she needs to take petty revenge, which she does by printing and cutting out 100 of these and hiding them in his locker, pockets, backpack, lunchbox, etc. for weeks.
