Oh my god this was just to adorable. This might sound weird, but I love that Johnny superkicked her in the face. Having the male heel go after the female face is such a good way to get some heat, and you used it so well, not just in the sense of the match, but to show even more that Dominik was concerned and cared for her. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Also, I’ve had that HSM song stuck in my head ever since I saw the title lol

The NXT women’s division began to change quickly, which wasn’t a bad thing, but one thing that was annoying were the superstars who became pests. That’s exactly what I thought of Candice LeRae and her husband that followed her everywhere, Johnny Gargano.
I had a match with Candice, and I ended up very disappointed. Candice was showing me how great of a wrestler she really was, but I still put up a fight. We nearly had a five-star match, having everyone on edge, but when I had Candice beat, Johnny put her foot on the rope.
When I got up, telling Johnny to back off, he got on the apron, yelling in my face. That distraction allowed Candice to roll me up and pin me.
The reason I lost was because of Johnny Gargano and that infuriated me. So, I stomped my way backstage and found General Manager Regal, demanding a rematch with Candice. Regal gave me what I wanted, which I appreciated greatly.
I was still really frustrated as I walked out of Regal’s office, letting my hair out of its ponytail, and I heard, “Y/N, you alright?”
Dominik Dijakovic was the one speaking to me, we were friends, so I responded to him, sighing, “I’m pissed off.”
“I would be too,” Dominik sighed, “And I’m guess that’s why you went to Regal?”
“Yeah, I’m getting my rematch,” I sighed deeply, determined to beat Candice.
Dominik let out a deep sigh, coming to me, placing his hand on my shoulder as he said, “Candice and Johnny know that you can beat her, Y/N. That’s why Johnny pulled that little stunt. They’re going to do it, again.”
“If Johnny does it again, I will kick his ass,” I groaned, making Dominik laugh.
“I’m sure you could, but instead of that, let me be with you at ringside. I’ll keep that little asshole in place,” Dominik proposed.
I smiled at the thought of Dominik being at my side. It’d be nice to wrestle Candice without having to worry about Johnny lurking and distracting me and/or the referee.
“I’d love that,” I smiled, “I won’t have to worry, now.”
“Not while I’m around,” Dominik smiled, giving me a hug.
“Thank you, Dominik. It means a lot to me,” I smiled, hugging back his huge stature.
“No problem. You’re my friend, it’s the least I can do.” Dominik sighed, standing up straight.
“Well, I’ll see you next week,” I smiled, actually blushing a bit as he smiled back.
Next week came around quickly and I was so excited for this match. No one knew about Dominik joining me and it was going to be a pleasant surprise for the Gargano’s. There was about five minutes till my match and I went to Dominik’s locker room, knocking on the door lightly.
“Come in,” Dominik said from inside.
I walked in quickly and smiled as I saw Dominik in his Dijakovic hoodie, shirtless, and in sweatpants. He was ready for a fight.
“You’re all ready to go I see,” I smiled, looking him up in down.
“I am. I already know Johnny’s going to try some crap and I’ll be there to stop that,” Dominik sighed, walking to me, “Let’s get to the gorilla.”
I began to walk out of his locker room and smiled as Dominik wrapped his arm around my shoulder. By the time we got to the gorilla, Candice and Johnny were making their entrance. As I waited by the curtain, Dominik helped get me into the zone, telling me, “Y/N, don’t worry about Johnny. Focus on Candice. You will beat her. I know it.”
His comment made me smile tremendously and I gave him a quick hug to show my appreciation and then, my music hit.
The crowd cheered for me like always, but I walked out slowly, standing on stage and smiling at the Gargano’s as Dominik walked out. Everyone went crazy as Dominik stood at my side, then said to me, “Let’s go kick some ass.”
My blood was pumping with the crowd’s reaction, my fists ready to unleash fury and gosh, was it fun to see Candice and Johnny’s reactions as Dominik walked me to the ring, sitting on the ropes for me as I got inside.
I was sure Candice was trying to come up with a game plan as she stood in the corner, whispering to Johnny. It made me curious, but Dominik helped me focus again as he stood on the apron, saying to me, “Remember what I said, Y/N. Just focus on Candice. You got this.”
I answered with a nod and once Candice stepped out of the corner, the bell rang and it was game on.
Just like last week, Candice and I had a killer match, delivering move after move, kicking out of everything we had. I was actually pretty worn out, but Dominik was at ringside, slapping the apron, trying to hype up and it did.
I really wanted to put Candice away, so I got on the top rope, ready to perform a moonsault, but Johnny came to the corner I was in. At that point, it was hard not to focus on Johnny, but Dominik was true to his word.
Dominik ran over Johnny like a truck, keeping him down. I watched and loved what I saw, but then Candice ran after me, getting on the top rope with me. She tried suplexing me, but I fought her off, beating her back like a drum and once she finally stopped trying to fight me off, I wrapped my arm around her head and delivered an Avalanche DDT, which I called, Bloody Sunday.
After that, I was the one pinning Candice and I won. A smile covered my face as I got up, the crowd going wild. Dominik slid into the ring, celebrating with me as he hugged me tight.
“Now, that’s what I’m talking about!” Dominik smiled, swaying back and forth as we hugged.
As we hugged, I heard Johnny talking crap and I just laughed, but then Dominik picked me up, putting me on his shoulder. We stood before Johnny, tending to Candice and Dominik yelled, “Keep talking, Johnny. It doesn’t change the fact that, Y/N is your winner!”
I smiled devilishly at Johnny as I stayed on Dominik’s shoulder, waving bye to Johnny, laughing as everyone could see the anger in his eyes.
Dominik and I had some fun celebrating in the ring, but when we went backstage, we had some news delivered to us. We were just getting out of the gorilla, heading to our locker rooms whenever we were approached by Regal.
“Y/N, congratulations on winning your match, but don’t celebrate too soon. You’re feud with the Gargano’s are not over.” Regal said, smiling a bit.
“How so?” I asked curiously, kind of annoyed, but Dominik took my hand, holding it.
I didn’t look to him, but I smiled as he did. It calmed me down, giving me a strong sense of comfort as Regal added:
“Next week, you and Dominik are facing Mr. and Mrs. Gargano in a mixed tag match,” Regal announced, “So be prepared.”
Regal was off after his announcement and when he was gone, Dominik turned to me smiling.
“Now that is going to be fun,” Dominik chuckled.
“Hell yeah. We get to kick their asses together? It’s going to be fun alright,” I smiled, “I’m better when I’m with you.”
Dominik actually blushed himself, his cheeks turning red a bit as he smirked, saying, “You have the same effect on me, Y/N.”
I didn’t know who was blushing more, but I found it extremely adorable, not able to handle much more as I smiled, “Well, I better hit the showers. I was sweating my ass off.”
I looked to the ground for a moment, trying to walk away, but Dominik still held my hand, smirking, “Let me walk you there. Those losers are still lurking around.”
“Sure,” I smiled, my cheeks even more red.
Dominik walked me to my locker room, holding my hand the entire time, which I loved truthfully. When we got to my locker room, I let out a deep sigh. I really didn’t want to let go, but I did, letting out, “Dominik, I just wanted to say thanks for having my back out there. I’m very excited about our match next week.”
“So am I,” Dominik smiled, “Take easy till then. If you need me for anything, just call or text me.”
“I’ll remember that. Goodnight, Dominik,” I smirked.
My heart skipped a beat as Dominik smiled at me, leaning down to kiss my cheek and whispering, “Goodnight, Y/N.”
After how my night ended, I was so pumped for our match. Dominik and I even joined each other for workout sessions, practicing in the ring together to make sure we had good chemistry and we sure did. We were going to put on one hell of a show.
Next Wednesday came around and I felt like I had a lot of weight on my shoulders because not only did I want to have a good match, I really wanted to impress Dominik. He was very supportive and just so nice and amazing to me. I felt like I had to impress him.
Just like last week, we met at our locker rooms, heading to the gorilla. While waiting for my music to hit, I was fixing my knee pads and when I stood up straight, Dominik smiled, moving my hair away from my face, stroking my cheek.
I smiled as the warmth of his hand hit my face and was getting lost in his blue eyes, but then my music hit. My music finally made me snap out of it, the crowd helping me get in the zone. Once Dominik by my side again during our entrance, it was time to fight.
Candice and I started the match, knowing each other’s moves very well. It was almost annoying, but we ended up really brawling, beating each other down because she kept targeting my arm and I wasn’t having it. I ended up desperate, trying to tag in Dominik.
Candice actually got me into the Gargano Escape and it was looking bad for me, but I heard Dominik yelled, “Y/N! Come on, you got this!”
I couldn’t let him down and fought through the pain, turning myself around and elbowing Candice in the knee, which made her let go of the hold. I quickly got up once she let go and I got up, tagging in Dominik.
It was so nice to have a breather, watching Dominik coming in hot, giving it to Johnny, but they had their critical moments too. Dominik gave it Johnny, delivering his Feast Your Eyes finisher, but when he went to pin Johnny, Candice broke the pin.
Dominik rolled away for a moment, taking a breather while I got in the ring, super kicking Candice. I kicked her so hard that she went out of the ring, but I was the one in for a rude awakening. When I turned around, Johnny super kicked me dead in the face, making drop like a ton of bricks. I thought it nearly knocked me out as I fell in pain, rolling out of the ring.
After that, I really didn’t pay attention. The pain was a lot as Johnny put a lot of force into his kick. I just heard Dominik yelling, smacks against the ring as it shook, and then I heard “1, 2, 3. Ring the bell!”
Dominik’s music began to play and by then, I was still laying on the ground and then I felt someone touch me.
“Y/N, please tell me you’re okay,” Dominik stressed, pushing my hair out of my face.
I finally opened my eyes, blinking a lot, but I looked into Dominik’s eyes as I said, “I’m a little dazed, but I’m okay.”
“You’re sure that you’re okay?” Dominik asked, double checking.
“I’m okay, Dom. I’ve been kicked harder before,” I smirked, trying to provide some comic relief.
Dominik laughed a bit too, taking my hand as I stood up. I was fine, but Dominik tended to me, wrapping his arm around me as he escorted me to the back and I smiled as I looked back to the ring to see a beaten-up Johnny Gargano being tended to by Candice.
When we finally got backstage, Dominik took me to my locker room, sitting me down. Once I sat down in my chair, I closed my eyes. That kick was a nasty one, I was actually getting a bit of a headache.
I knew I would be okay, but Dominik still had his concerns.
“I know that Johnny is a little guy, but he does have a mean superkick. Are you sure you’re alright, Y/N?” Dominik asked again.
“Yeah,” I sighed, opening my eyes, “I’m okay. I promise.”
Dominik could see the bit of pain on my face, but smiled, then kneeled down, giving me a big hug, like his hug could take it all away. I laid my head on his shoulder and smiled, “If anything, I think Johnny is the one who needs to be checked. He looked dead in the ring.”
“Well,” Dominik sighed, pulling away and taking my hand, “I saw you going after Candice and then he super kicked you and I lost it. He should have never attacked you and he should be ashamed of himself.”
“It’s okay. I didn’t get to see with my eyes, but I know he paid the price, thanks to you,” I smirked.
“Oh, he sure did,” Dominik chuckled, “Like I said, he never should have attacked you, let alone hit your beautiful face.”
I blushed like a rose, smiling brightly as Dominik pushed my hair behind my ear, stroking my cheek.
“Good thing you were there for me,” I whispered, still smiling.
“Always will be,” Dominik smirked, smiling back at me.
I just couldn’t stop smiling as Dominik’s head fell to mine, his lips giving mine a quick peck, but just that little tasted created a deep hunger. His lips came right back again, taking his time and kissing me delicately, showing deep emotion. I could feel my skin tingling, my face heating up. It was overflowing with passion.
He pressed his lips hard, but softly, his nose bumping mine as he pulled away, opening his eyes slowly. My eyes slowly met his gaze, feeling a bit dazed, rocked from how beautiful his kiss was, and I smiled because I loved every second of it.
“You know, I’m starting to feel a lot better now. You should do that, again,” I smirked, both of us chuckling, our noses still touching.
Dominik held my face, still chuckling a bit as he kissed me a bit harder. I kissed him back so quickly, all of my nerves on alert. It was just so sweet and tender and I wanted more, my body falling to his, but we both ended up breaking out in laughter.
My body fell out of the chair and on to him, making him fall back on the floor.
“I’m so sorry,” I laughed, laying on top of him as he laid on the floor.
“I see you’re feeling a lot better now,” Dominik laughed.
We both just laughed, another bright smile covering my face, but then Dominik put his hand on my shoulder, pulling me down. I smiled, blushing again as I laid my head on his chest, looking up to his sparkling eyes.
“I could get used to this,” Dominik smirked, “But maybe not on the locker room floor, though.”
I laughed at his comment, agreeing as I nodded and said, “I couldn’t agree more.”
