American friends! The US Copyright Office (which we know exerts huuuge influence in how these things are treated elsewhere) wants to hear opinions on copyright and AI.
"The US Copyright Office is opening a public comment period around AI and copyright issues beginning August 30th as the agency figures out how to approach the subject."
We can assume that the opposing side will definitely be using all of their lobbying power towards widespread AI use, so this is a very good chance to let them know your thoughts on AI and how art and creative content of all kinds should be protected.

FUNGUARY IS HAPPENING AGAIN!!! February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2024! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb. This will be our third year of Funguary, and this time it’s a leap year!
Here’s how it works: Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw a mushroom character within that theme in order to join. The themes are Celestial, Demonic, Edible and Cryptic. Each week of February is a new theme. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty!
If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄
I invite you all to come draw mushrooms with me! Use the hashtag #Funguary and #funguary2024 when posting your creations. I’ll be posting some of the creations here, and I’ll also be hanging out in the hashtag and comment sections! Really hope y’all join and draw fungi with me🥰🍄🌿 See you all on the first of February, LETS GOOOO!!
Full offense but your writing style is for you and nobody else. Use the words you want to use; play with language, experiment, use said, use adverbs, use “unrealistic” writing patterns, slap words you don’t even know are words on the page. Language is a sandbox and you, as the author, are at liberty to shape it however you wish. Build castles. Build a hovel. Build a mountain on a mountain or make a tiny cottage on a hill. Whatever it is you want to do. Write.
alright im curious about this cause I think this is a thing but idk of theres a cutoff for it or of it depends on what kind of horrid vision you have since i only have the experience of being VERY nearsighted
* this meaning that light sources like leds get split up into their applicable rgb values, like a magenta led strip seperates into a red strip and a blue strip when you look at it out of the corner of your eye, or you see red and blue fringes on sunlit objects like your hand
(granted i have no idea if this'll even reach that many people but itd be cool if you reblogged for larger sample size even if you dont have bad vision...)
Anyone else not like it when Gilbert is portrayed as a pervert? When he touched Elizabeta's chest he did it because he thought she was a girl and was doing it as a joke. And when he realized Eliza was actually a girl he freaked out and cried in a church, begging for forgiveness. I'd rather he was portrayed as an awkward virgin (by choice) who refuses to touch women in a dirty way, and also refuses to watch porn because he's "a son of God". He was raised in a holy catholic order, with strict rules to not indulge themselves in such vulgar activities. I doubt he would go against the rules and morality he was taught growing up. Gilbert could be stuck in a room full of very beautiful but naked women and all he would do is freak out, cover his eyes and hope they don't come near him. He only offered that crotch cloth to Elizabeta cause he thought she was a guy, and even then it was just as a joke and he didn't actually have any serious ill intent.
