This is the most exciting thing that has happened to me all week. It’s been incredibly hard to get any motivation and I put off putting cookies all week and I finally did it and THIS HAPPENS. My motivation is about to go through the roofs is this is what motivation does.
Tried drawing the cookie run stuff for the first time.
also, whenever I try to post something, there’s usually a spot for small text and big text, but it doesn’t even show the box to write in. Anyone know why?
Trader Joe's Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough...16 individually portioned cookies... Perishable, Keep Refrigerated... I baked these Friday night... 🍪 They are OK, edible, if you cannot bake from scratch... The label graphics grab you if you are a fan of Chocolate Chip cookies or especially a Chocolate Chocolate fiend... Bakeing your own from scratch is best, mixing in Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate morsels, better yet, using Enjoy Life Foods, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini-Chips, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Soy-Free, Vegan, Paleo or your favorite morsels... Time to finish off this plate of cookies with some coffee this evening... If you don't bake from scratch... Get the Nestle TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough you will get much better cookies than with the TJ'S cookie dough... I didn't read the label of ingredients in the Trader Joe's Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I almost always read all the labels these days. It has Soy in that list towards the end. Soy is a ingredient I attempt to avoid... #whattobake #cookiedough #bakeingcookies #cookies#chocolatechipcookies #chocolatechip 🍫 #instagood #instapic #coffeetime #cookiesandcoffee ☕🍪 (at East Sacramento, Sacramento, California)

30.12.15 // Finally managed to do some relaxing. I spent my whole day making gravity falls themed cookies and it was damn worth it!
I don't even know what to expect about this year anymore
A few years ago, when I was living in the housing co-op and looking for a quick cookie recipe, I came across a blog post for something called “Norwegian Christmas butter squares.” I’d never found anything like it before: it created rich, buttery and chewy cookies, like a vastly superior version of the holiday sugar cookies I’d eaten growing up. About a year ago I went looking for the recipe again, and failed to find it. The blog had been taken down, and it sent me into momentary panic.
Luckily, I remembered enough to find it on the Wayback Machine, and quickly copied it into a file that I’ve saved ever since. I probably make these cookies about once a month, and they last about five days around my voracious husband - they’re fantastic with a cup of bitter coffee or tea. I’m skeptical that there is something distinctively Norwegian about these cookies, but they do seem like the perfect thing to eat on a cold day.
Norwegian Christmas Butter Squares
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 egg 1 cup sugar 2 cups flour 1 tsp vanilla ½ tsp salt Turbinado/ Raw Sugar for dusting
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Chill a 9x13″ baking pan in the freezer. Do not grease the pan.
Using a mixer, blend the butter, egg, sugar, and salt together until it is creamy. Add the flour and vanilla and mix using your hands until the mixture holds together in large clumps. If it seems overly soft, add a little extra flour.
Using your hands, press the dough out onto the chilled and ungreased baking sheet until it is even and ¼ inch thick. Dust the top of the cookies evenly with raw sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees until the edges turn a golden brown, about 12-15 minutes. Remove from the oven. Let cool for about five minutes before cutting the cooked dough into squares. Remove the squares from the warm pan using a spatula.

NATG XIII - Day 6 Prompt: Draw a pony playing a sport / Draw a pony experiencing the bliss of triumph or the agony of defeat. I had many ideas for this prompt, one of which involved Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle successfully stealing a cookie jar. In the end, I drew Spike winning a gem-encrusted trophy and a lifetime supply of cookies! Hooray!
Light spilled softly through the windows, illuminating the house. Books lay abandoned on the coffee table, a computer left opened showed a map of some sort of forest. The room was realatively quiet, but one could hear chatter coming from the kitchen.
RJ had woken up in the mood for cookies, fresh ones at that. With nothing to stop him or an excuse to not make them, he got to work. When NJ had made his way into the kitchen- only to find RJ semi-gently whacking a bag of almonds- his ¶You could have just cut them?¶ was dismissed with a "This is more fun and it still works."
Fair enough, the Newscaster guesses.
He offered to help once he had some coffee, and the two brothers were nearly finished when CJ rolled in, hair still messy but rather pleased. Apparently he'd found a good 'spot' and could sort out almost everything by the evening. NJ had no idea what the Cameraman meant, but the Reporter grinned with a "Thanks Jim!" and CJ joined the other two in rolling out the cookie balls.
The three discussed the usual smalltalk subjects, and although it still felt a little stiff at first, it eventually turned into something less bland, and a little more tension bled away into the rhythm of making cookies and a 'who would win' discussion.
And by 'discussion' it's:
¶Sharktopus is two aquatic animals in one. They would have an even larger advantage in the water, and on an even playing field where size is /not/ a factor, they would win.¶
"I see your point, but hear this- Godzilla is not losing to a science experiment."
