nettles (teeth eater)
something about smoke being rejected since childhood because everyone was certain his father's evil lived on in him. something about annie being the only one to call smoke 'elijah' and how that makes him soften. something about how just before they're truly reunited, annie says 'i dont want any of that smoke on the baby'. something about annie being the one who sets smoke free from his past and his sins and lets him be human instead.
— They, too, are all just pretending to be adults because people tell them they are. — I just want to quickly grow old.

disclaimer: I did not mean offence with the word "witchy" I know she practices hoodoo, but I've made this meme at 3am and just copied the original meme word for word, I'm sorry if it seems disrespectful

I have a personal vendetta against daily pass. Like what the FUCK do you mean that if a webtoon is complete you will slap me with a charge to read an episode. FUCK OFF NAVER.
i hate daily pass so much. wdym i cant binge re-read my favorite webtoons??? i dont have the type of patience to wait a day between episodes. GIVE ME BACK MY BINGEABLE COMICS WEBTOON
why are so many people sleeping on 'pale, pale moon'??!
yes, obviously 'i lied to you' and 'rocky road to dublin' were great scenes, and they were both used amazingly in the movie, but also?? PALE, PALE MOON???
this song did such a good job at showing the intense sense of community that was building between the people who were at the juke joint. everyone was joining together in this scene, singing and dancing to the rhythm in such synchronicity. they were partying and laughing and enjoying themselves together, and it really felt like they'd known each other a lifetime. and the fact that this song could be heard through the building's walls showed the power of that harmony, that sense of community. it showed what was possible when people came together under shared bonds and experiences.
and also take into consideration the literal meaning behind some of the lyrics. "Lawd away til the sun does rise" "Gonna move my body through the whole night long" obviously talking about partying through the whole night. but also this is a vampire movie, it's literally talking about how once they get turned to vampires, they'll only be able to move through the night, until the sun rises.
maybe i'm wrong, and people are talking about this song. but i loved it and i wanted to talk about it :D

Sabrina the Teenage Witch – 2.19: When Teens Collide
*after all the ruckus Jimin calls hoseok for help*
Hoseok: Faints when arrives because of alcoholic fumes and very low tolerance.
*calls other Hyungs for help"
Yoongi: Doesn't pick up the phone.
Namjoon: Which dim witted idiot gave Tae alcohol?!
Jin: Screams at them like an ahjussi but finally brings Namjoon and Yoongi to help them back home.
*after reaching home without managers knowing*
maknae line: Still pretty drunk and tipsy.
Yoongi: Gives death glare -_- "If any of you little shits do this thing again, I'll burn you alive."
maknae line: Instantly sober.
Taehyung: Yoongi Hyung, let's hold hands?
My guess on the meaning of the movie ladybird. (Because I haven't slept and I've been thinking about this and it's 5 am)
Christina created her own persona "ladybird " where she can escape her mother's and the world's rules and expectations for her. She, as ladybird can be and do anything.
However, in doing so, she builds walls to protect herself using and absorbing the same abusive personality traits her mother has. Re-purposing those abusive traits makes her a part of the cycle and is the main ironic theme of the story.
This backfires, however, because she becomes the person she's trying to defend herself from. She becomes, in a way, her own abuser. That's not to say her mother had no part in it bc she was part of the cycle too.
The ending of the movie was to show how she became her own person, a part of her family and love for her mother, and a part of her own story too. Showing the two versions of herself can coexist in the usage of her name as a metaphor.
The only thing I didn't like was that the mother seemed to only feel regret about her actions and never seemed to truly attempt to fix her patterns of abuse.
Idk. That's just my take on it.
