As Grian has recently been leaning into the eldritch horror builds and there are some eldritch horror fan theories about him out there cough cough watchers cough cough I sware If you guys make it hot in some way I'm not gonna be sad just very disappointed.
I’ve been lurking on this god-forsaken hell site long enough to know what you fuckers do....
I think one of the things that keeps me so invested and in love with Empires is how much care the cc’s themselves pour into it and how much pride they show for it. They all clearly love Empires and it makes watching them get excited about new details and custom textures fun to watch because you get excited with them. You see how much care they all put in with their builds and ideas and the fact they’ve all paid for custom assets and skins to make the world more immersive. Watching them feel finish a new build feels satisfying as they add to these beautiful locations that no matter the build style you can tell they’ve all worked so hard on.
The carefully crafted details in Pearl’s Smallholdings making it feel warm and well worked. How absolutely insane the Mezala Materal Palace is with its beautiful towers and sprawling terrace gardens. The way Mythland feels huge and sprawling and so so detailed as literally everyone points out how large it all is. The beautiful organics and custom trees that makes you feel like your a gnome yourself watching people walk through the Undergrove. How much hard work is clearly put into the Codlands and how it feels rustic and real. How the Grimlands looks it’s name with the sheer atmosphere of the Deepslate Redstone corruption spreading through the planes. How majestic Rivendell feels with a color scheme that stands out against the grays of the custom cliffs as it rises higher and higher. The way bright colors and towering temples peak through the lush jungle trees of the Lost Empires making you feel like you’ve stumbled upon it. How the Blooming Grove looks it’s name with how bright and alive it is with giant flowers blooming high in the air. How the Ocean Queen’s Domain looks as though it’s rising out of the sea with gleaming coral domes as proof. How The Crystal Cliffs weaves its way through its namesake with beautiful purple contrasts adding to the magical feel. How Pixandria stands against the desert and feels as through its survived through strength with beautiful and creative uses of space in lieu of grass or other greenery that gives an entirely different feel.
Then watching everyone praise each other’s builds and say how much they love each other’s empires. Hearing how much they all admire each other’s work and what they’ve chosen to focus on. It just feels good man.
Then after all this amazing work watching them create this interconnected story that’s interesting no matter who you watch. Where everyone has a role and motives and who all feel like fully fleshed out characters. A story that everyone has their stakes in but no one feels like their unimportant or overlooked. With a terrifying main villain with ties to many different people in different ways. The twists that you don’t expect but make sense. The way the story invites investment. The atmosphere they all create not only with their builds but with their acting and reactions.
Basically The Empires SMP is amazing and so are the cc’s and if any of them see this thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into this series.
I am having a Completely Normal reaction to Scott's new mc skin
deeply deeply exhausted with the way everyone seems to think it’s perfectly okay to relentlessly make fun of how trans men and transmasc people look
i see it everywhere, from cis people and other trans people (including other trans men and transmascs — thanks internalized transphobia). no one has any qualms about just...throwing as many “jokes” and criticisms at us as they possibly can. if it boils down to calling transmasculinity ugly, it’s fair game to them and i’m sick of it
no one wants to hear about how bad you think our facial hair is. no one wants to hear your comments about our acne or hairlines. no one wants to hear about how upset you would be if you had our scars. no one wants to hear about how gross you think bottom growth is. nobody asked for your opinions on our bodies so please stop sharing them!
and of course, it’s all part of this larger idea that transmasculinity is something to be mocked and rejected. the comments about our voices, our names, our clothes, our hair, everything — nothing about us is free from being ridiculed in one way or another
but the criticisms of our bodies in particular have been on my mind lately as i’ve started seeing changes from t, and it’s absolutely exhausting seeing all these things that i really like (or at least feel neutral about) and knowing that the rest of the world, including members of my own community, will see them as my body being ruined
leave our bodies alone. we’re literally just sitting here existing, that’s not an invitation for you to make every joke you can think of and pick apart every inch of us
the “jokes” aren’t funny, y’all just have a fucking pathetic sense of humor
honestly blaming the watchers for the entity is so boring. do you think these boomer ass cringe gods could come up with something so cryptic and uncanny? didn’t think so. grian obviously found this fucked up rock and just decided to adopt it because he’s insane
So this is what I've gathered till now
A persons fanfic tells you a lot about them, i , a fanfic writer, realize in terror
Good morning! I’m salty.
I think we, as a general community, need to start taking this little moment more seriously.
This, right here? This is asking for consent. It’s a legal necessity, yes, but it is also you, the reader, actively consenting to see adult content; and in doing so, saying that you are of an age to see it, and that you’re emotionally capable of handling it.
You find the content you find behind this warning disgusting, horrifying, upsetting, triggering? You consented. You said you could handle it, and you were able to back out at any time. You take responsibility for yourself when you click through this, and so long as the creator used warnings and tags correctly, you bear full responsibility for its impact on you.
“Children are going to lie about their age” is probably true, but that’s the problem of them and the people who are responsible for them, not the people that they lie to.
If you’re not prepared to see adult content, created by and for adults, don’t fucking click through this. And if you do, for all that’s holy, don’t blame anyone else for it.
Remember to send some local jerks in there to keep them all well fed and take them on night walks for extra spice in their life :)
it's ok to keep secrets, everybody has some skeletons in the closet. Wraiths in the attic. Ghosts in the bedroom. Mummy in the kitchen. Enchanted armor on the stairs. Slimes in the basement. Maybe a giant spider in the backyard. Beholder or two in the garage. Vampires are also in the closet
Goodbye, for now my friends. (New Blog: @Introvert-In-Hell)
