Me, at the start of FMA: B: oh man it’s so cool that Central is shaped like a transmutation circle. What a nifty little extra nod to alchemy by the designers.

Me, 30 eps later: OH NO OH NO OH NO OH NO!!!!!

Wait! Fuck! I was so wrong!! Damn it. (I'll just use the scene to fuel my devout pansexual Sinbad headcannons)

Artemyra, a city run entirely by females, has a red light district.

You know what that means???

Them: Sinbad is my pure cinnamon roll! He’s so gorgeous, and an amazing king! He’s too precious for this world!

Me, an intellectual: Sinbad is 100% aware of his good looks and leadership abilities, and is cunning enough to utilise them to meet his end goals. Despite his goofy behaviour, he is more than capable of using brute force and scare tactics to win with barely any resistance.

Sinbad is not a pure person, let alone a truly lawful man. He is the summary of chaotic good, and often to the extent of chaotic neutral, and is one of the most terrifying characters in Magi for his ability to win everyone’s heart and get his way while always being labelled “the good guy”.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is one of the wokest shows out there and nothing will convince me otherwise

First and foremost, the world building within Magi is simply phenomenal. Within a matter of episodes you have an in-depth understanding of the social, political and economic structure of the world without burning hardly any brain cells. And the series does one of the most amazing jobs I've ever seen in anime by directly addressing the horrific issues that come with this world. There is no pussy footing around when it comes to slavery. It isn't censored or looked at through rose-coloured glasses. It's depicted as the fucking crime against humanity it is. Additionally Morgiana's history as a slave isn't glossed over, or made into a small facet of her being vulnerable to make her fit into the damsel-in-distress love archetype. Instead the creators blatantly show her struggling with PTSD and doing her best to deal with it by freeing others. The show also deals brilliantly with all aspects of anxiety, with majority of Alibaba's character growth coming from facing and learning to cope with the fact that he does have anxiety, and understanding that parts aren't due to himself and his failures, but rather the treatment he was given by others and their overbearing expectations; something that all people with anxiety can relate to as self-loathing is difficult to admit, let alone try to overcome. Sahbmad the deputy King further solidifies Magi's place as a work of social commentary and attempts to normalise and address issues like anxiety. The man faces literally crippling social and general anxiety, yet he becomes one of the greatest heroes of the series for all of us who have struggled with anxiety before by fucking standing up to his (abusive) brother and setting things right. Alibaba's support for him only further supports the fact that anxiety is real and common, but also that it can be dealt with by the aid of others and admitting that there is something wrong in the first place. These are only a few social issues addressed in Magi, and the addition of moments like indicating that Alibaba's mother's job as a prostitute was something to be respected rather than be ashamed of, as she was only caring for her kids, solidifies the show as one of the most underrated woke shows out there. For the love of every god please watch Magi you won't be disappointed.

Y'all don't understand the true power memes have in destroying a person. I walked into a store playing that fucking September song by Earth, Wind and Fire, dicked around for a few minutes, and then went to pay for my stuff as it started up again. I couldn't help but ask the guy did he realise that a song has played twice and I swear to god I've never seen more suffering on a human face as he told me it started as a joke at the start of his shift and quickly got out of hand. I asked him how long he's been working and he told me a very defeated "7 hours. I've been the only person in the store the last two hours and it's been so busy I haven't been able to get to the stereo to change it". I felt so sad for the guy I offered to change it for him but he said it'd be alright. I've been thinking about that poor guy ever since, did he manage to stop that song or was he haunted for the rest of the day by the reminder that it's September and that someone's heart and is with him???

How do we never talk about the fact that Mineta was Mt Lady's intern? We all knew that Mineta really wanted to intern under Mt Lady cause he's a perverted little dickhead, and that it wasn't what he expected due to that short clip of him vacuuming her room, but why would Mt Lady take on a student like Mineta who barely stood out in the Sports Festival? Why did she not turn him down when she realised his perverted nature? I'd like to think she took one look at his application to intern under her, remembered that one loser of a kid in the festival who deviated between being a coward and making goes at the girls, and just thought; 'I'm gonna ruin this kids life.' And so Mineta goes to intern under her, thinking it's going to be a constant montage of sexy close-ups and flirting, and instead he gets absoluTE HELL. While she's known for her laid back, almost lazy personality, Mt Lady didn't get those thick thighs that could crush a mans skull when she's NORMAL size for nothing. She puts Mineta through hell training that makes him long for Aizawa's gentle touch, and backs it up by lounging in front of him afterwards like she hasn't broken a sweet while he performs tasks he's always thought to be 'the women's job'. Every chance she gets, she flips the kids' misogynistic view of the world, and laughs gleefully as he cries and wails in response. They go out in patrol and Mineta expects to stand behind Mt Lady and get glorious shots of her ass. Wrong! Mineta is too busy using his quirk to keep the structure of falling buildings stable, a job he's always thought supporting sidekicks performed (always females to him, as of course men would be out there fighting!), and by the time he's done Mt Lady has already crushed the villains single-handily. No sexy shots for him. I know a lot of people like to label Mt Lady with incredibly derogatory and sexual characterisations due to her interactions with the media, but I'd like to think that Mt Lady knows the stigma still prevalent against women in tight suits fighting 'a mans job', and performs her job as a satire of this misogynistic portrayal. She hams it up in front of cameras because she's new and that's the only way to get sponsors, but also so she has enough publicity when she's big that her fight for feminism reaches a wider audience and has FAR more impact. She's a clever and powerful woman, she's just keeping those aspects under the radar for now until they're at their most useful in impacting social stigma. (Mineta learnt to fear Mt Lady, but unfortunately she was never able to change his misogynistic and perverted nature, clearly. So instead she makes sure that any internship or sidekick gig he tries to get with other female heroes always ends up with a fellow feminist, who beats both his ass and shitty ideals until they finally break and enters pro-hero industry as an avid feminist and great friend to a bunch of women who see him as their greatest piece of feminist work).

I know we are all scared about the physical and emotional wellbeing of our two boys in the latest updates, but can you imagine how fucking awful the aftermath is going to be for Mob? Not just the overwhelming guilt of using his powers against others, which he'd sworn to never do to innocents, but of the fact that Mob has lost his anonymity. All through the series, Mob hasn't been tied to a single one of the catastrophic psychic events he's either stopped or created. The 7th Division of Claw scenario happened off in rural lands, Mogami was with a select group of psychics who probably don't know that Mob was the one who saved them, and he was never seen in the final battle of Claw and thus was never linked with the broccoli. Despite his power being common knowledge at school, Mob has never been linked to any of these events as far as we know, and thus has mostly been able to live a normal life like he desires. Now though, Mob has been seen rampaging through the city, nearly killing people left, right and centre. He has been reported to the police and is now most likely on several news networks. His face is everywhere, and all of the people who know him now know of the extent of his power. They realise that the young boy that they occasionally tease for his lack of social skills and athletics could've wiped them out in a blink of an eye. That's terrifying, and now if Mob ever goes back to school he's gonna realise how terrified everyone is of him in case he snaps again. He has no chance at a normal life anymore, and that's one of the scariest outcomes of this whole debacle -- Mob losing his friends to fear, and being considered a monster by society.

Honestly Griffin McElroy and the boys' acting has totally destroyed me with this latest episode. The implications of the end scenes are so messed up and I really hope we see them come into play later on, but they also give us a lot of insight into what's happened in the other arcs. Taako was already messed up from believing he had killed all those people in the last episode of his cooking show, but Barry's death would've made his guilt weigh down so much more. When he was running away from the ruins of his show, all he would've been thinking about was how much bad luck and death he brought to the world. To him Barry's death was impersonal as he didn't remember him, but the sight of a man falling to his death in front of him was the first coherent memory, the only one that was real in this world and not the filled in ones from Lucretia. So the deaths of all those people from his cooking would've made him remember that man falling to his death in front of him, and the weight of his still warm wand in his hand, the smoking tip pointed at the figure dropping away from him with a pained smile on his face. Lucretia may have thought she was setting Taako up with a happy life of stardom, but the whole time he was weighed down with the guilt of murdering a stranger for some unknown reason. And when he saw Barry in the first arc, there would've been a sensation of fear and guilt weighing on him, despite him not knowing why. Fisher would've blurred the face of the man he killed in order to block his old memories, but the sight of Barry's face still dredged up horror, fear and longing. Longing for a man he once saw as a brother, but who he now associates with the feeling of metaphorical blood on his hands and an empty place next to him. And Merle, every time he saw Davenport in the Bureau, would hear a soft choking echo of a man desperately asking who Merle was. Who he was. Davenport's very utterance of his own name initially brings a swell of emotion that blocks off Merle's airways, ears ringing with a desperate cry of "I'm Davenport!" But Fisher's power quiet end the whispers every time, and Merle is left with a hollow feeling that once crept up on him every time he sat at his beach at dusk, mind tricking him into seeing six figures dancing along the shore, chasing one another with happy shrieks as they hadn't done in so long. Merle doesn't feel guilt like Taako did. Does. But he feels a hollow sensation in his chest where it used to be filled to the brim with joy and love. Worst of all was Magnus, who knew what Lucretia had done before his mind was wiped. Each time he saw the Director, there would be an initial sense of betrayal, a world less scream of despair billowing up inside him, begging her to stop! Didn't she know what would happen? It would all end, they wouldn't be together anymore, Lucretia don't let us go, don't leave me alone Lucretia p l e a s e. The sight of the voidfish, beautiful and ethereal, would soothe the turmoil of emotions inside him, bringing him a sense of warmth and comfort. If only for a little while. Magnus was a happy sort of guy, but there were days when he felt like his skin didn't fit, that the creaks in his bones shouldn't be there. That his time with Julia, his beloved wife, didn't seem real, none of this did. And he would look into the sky with longing, feeling a sensation of the ground beneath him gently rocking, a cool breeze ruffling his hair as the heavens spread out beneath him. And each one felt sorrow when they saw the harsh lines at the corner of the Director's mouth (she should be smiling, she should be happy, we have to protect her), and crinkles at the corners of her tired eyes (little bookworm, so strong and clever, she needs some rest, she always does). But they also felt overwhelming joy when she smiled and laughed, her tired and old visage melting away to reveal a fresh-faced girl who loved to explore the work around her (our journal keeper, our friend, our little Lucretia). But then the power of the voidfish would crash over them, and they would absently smile back at the woman who loved them more than anything in the world, who had to hold herself back from cracking goofs and hugging them tightly. Who gazed into their aging faces and only found emptiness looking back.

The cycle of emotions I went through as Lup sat Taako down to talk to him was crazy. Like liches was the first thing I thought of, but then I got excited at the thought of maybe Lup was asking him to be her best man at her and Barry's wedding. Then when she asked for Taako's help my mind flashed to his mastery of transmutation magic she could use to aid her in getting pregnant through the cycles and that's why she was hesitant to put forward the notion as it would've been highly dangerous and unknown if it could actually work. And then she revealed liches and I felt true fear wash over me as I realised that we are nearing Lup's death. This show will be the end of me I swear.

I'm not gonna lie, the possibility of Deku growing up to be a Beefy Boy, whose muscular thighs makes all genders swoon, positively delights me. Like the people from his past school hear about this upcoming hero with the same name as that kid they once bullied and they're like "I bet that lame as Deku isn't even a good hero,..." And then they pull up the trending picture of Deku in his debut fight, and it's just this absolute God with a look pure determination on his bloodied face and a torn uniform that reveals rippling abs and biceps that make those ex-bullies fucking choke. Just give me a ripped af Deku that calls back to All Might's hero form in a less exaggerated manner and makes all the guys, gals and non-binary pals fall head over heels. ....,..,but also, the thought of Deku growing up with his gangly noodly self still intact is also interesting. Like he keeps his slender build and his pretty boy features become goDLIKE and everyone's still in love with him, but villains are super freaked out every time this slender and feminine looking boy just fuckING DESTROYS A BUILDING WITH A PUNCH. Just any form Deku takes will be amazing cause this boy his so good and will be a hero that goes down in history.

Izuku Midoriya is one of the most terrifying characters in BNHA and nothing will convince me otherwise (SPOILERS FOR ANIME-ONLY WATCHERS)

I know we all love our cute cinnamon roll Deku with his mumbling and pure heart, but the last episode really emphasised how truly terrifying this boy is. Deku's determination has been commended multiple times by many different people, seen as a way for other characters to feel motivated and inspired to be better heroes and people. However, ultimately, this determination serves as the main reason why he's so terrifying. In the last episode we really got a clear image of how far Deku will go in order to achieve a goal he has set (the training camp arc, and sequential fight for Kouda really fleshes this point out to a ridiculous degree). Saving Todoroki was the only thing on his mind, he didn't even think about the future consequences, but only whether or not each injury would hinder him from continuing to pursue his goal. Frankly the lengths he went to, absolutely destroying his hands so much that he required extensive surgery, should be something that should terrify most people, especially villains. Here's a kid fresh into the academy who can take breaking his bones multiple times over with only a grimace, while also coming up within genius plans on the fly under pressure and pain that surpasses what most people will ever experience in their lives. Villains often rely on their ability to terrify people with their capacity to inflict bodily harm and death without flinching. The threat of huge amounts of pain is bound to make most heroes pause and lose momentum for a moment out of personal fear. However, how are you meant to scare a fucking kid who doesn't flinch at breaking his body apart for a mere school contest?? The thought of going against anyone like that is terrifying, and it's reflected in the faces of the other students and spectators. Especially Shinsou. The look of horror on his face isn't just of seeing such horrible injuries. No. It's of seeing self-inflicted injuries out of pure determination without flinching on the opponent he just faced. He's only just realising the lengths Deku would go to succeed in his goals, and the pure strength he wields. Shinsou didn't know how powerful Deku really was, but he's just realising that, out of spite for being manipulated, Deku could've sacrificed a finger in order to shatter any part of Shinsou. If Deku was determined to do it, it definitely would've happened and Shinsou would've been powerless. That's fucking horrifying. Deku wields a power that can destroy buildings and his body with ease. And he's willing to do that in order to fulfill his goals. Not only is the sight of his broken body horrifying to most, but the knowledge that if this boy had a reason to turn his back on society, on being a hero, they would all be fucked. Here's someone willing to sacrifice everything for a goal decided mere minutes before the match, imagine what he could do with years of planning and control of this destructive quirk?? Deku is truly overlooked for people like Bakugo and Shinsou as villains in the manga/anime, and that definitely needs to stop because if Deku became the face of villainy, no one could stand against his tactical mind, pure power, and single-minded focus.

No offence but the greatest hero in the entire awfully painful Chimera Ant arc has got to be that young surgeon who, without batting an eye, performs surgery on this fucked up bug queen thing she had probably just been debriefed about on the way there. Like this chick just casually chats with these crazy monsters around her and even offers support to the soft bird boy when he's panicking. This woman doesn't give a fuck. She's probably seen shit 100x crazier than this before, what with working with all of the crazy hunters out there. I bet she was one of the people to operate on Gon after the whole fiasco and while all the other doctors are screaming about how this shouldn't happen to a normal being, she's just like 'man this is totally that crazy bastard Ging's son. The both of them are always finding new ways to kill themselves. Awesome. Time to save this crazy kids life then.' I'd like to believe this jaded young woman was the only reason Gon pulled through, and that's because she's seen some shit through her years, and that includes the mess Ging made with his own body. She's a pro at this now.

Please Take Down Your Bird Feeders If You’re In The US - There’s A Massive Spread Of Bird Flu In

Please take down your bird feeders if you’re in the US - there’s a massive spread of bird flu in 2022 and it’s already killed millions of poultry, let alone all the affected wild birds. This disease doesn’t affect just birds - it can spread to humans and other animals like your pets.

"Flash take the controls," Hal ordered, opening the hatch at the back.

Barry blinked, noticing the empty pilot's seat and zooming into it, shouting, "Are you crazy? I don't know how to fly this thing?!"

"What?" Hal demanded. Something exploded on the planet.

"I'm a forensic scientist!" Barry yelled, wildly pressing buttons. "Isn't there some kind of autopilot?" Looks back to see Hal gone.

Their spaceship proceeds to nose dive towards the alien planet, and Barry starts screaming--

Batman paused the footage, turning to the newer members. "And that's why flight training is now mandatory for all members of the League."

Whats all the fuss about the 23rd?

So apparently there’s some crazy celestial alignment when I’m going to celebrate, or at least eat cake, my 30th birthday. Some theories speak of world ending (not on my watch), for me it does mark another transition more symbolic than factual. Either ways, any kind cosmic witch that can enlighten me on what will be happen celestially speaking? Its not my forte since i’m mostly into non astral divination.
