"Krysar" (Jiří Barta, 1986)
Ricordate la leggenda del Pifferaio Magico, nota anche come Pifferaio di Hamelin?
Grazie al suo strumento musicale questo personaggio riuscì a liberare Hamelin da un' invasione di ratti, ma quando non ricevette il compenso promesso si vendicò attirando con il suono del suo piffero tutti i bambini della città rinchiudendoli in una caverna.
Nel 1986 Jiri Barta, un regista ceco crea una rivisitazione della leggenda dal titolo "Krysar", un mediometraggio di 52 minuti. La sua versione si distacca per certi versi dalla leggenda originale ma risulta comunque abbastanza riuscita e convincente. Egli utilizza la tecnica dello stop- motion in maniera magistrale (viene alla mente Svankmajer, altro regista e animatore ceco creatore di opere in stop-motion davvero notevoli) rievocando tra l'altro il cinema espressionista tedesco. Le ambientazioni gotiche e le musiche oscure poi, non fanno altro che rendere quest'opera ancora più affascinante. Un gioiellino ipnotico e davvero particolare che consiglio caldamente.
