I love these posts cus I forget that I named myself after him. So I had a split second thought of “I’m a Satanist not a fucking puritan.”

I learned more about things today, and now I have to share my headcannons once more (aka; making Belos worse, because he’s my babygirl and I love him)

Christianity began to branch out due to Martin Luther’s “95 Theses”. Christianity ventured into Protestants, then Calvinists, then Puritans (Belos). Belos is severely against the events of the renaissance, as it carried ideas of Humanism, then focusing on science and eventually rejecting (some) religion and its beliefs, and distrusting religion and the government, eventually leading to the Enlightenment.

Belos is severely against all of these ideas. Due to the centuries he went without a Bible or his teachings, he couldn’t remember all of what his church taught him. This leads to his morals growing ‘inaccurate’ to Puritanism, as it becomes a mixture of things he learned on the Boiling Isles, true Puritanism, and science (which he is so against).

Also, if Caleb came back, he would be seen as a traitor, and tortured with the Breaking Wheel.
