Your au was better and had a lot more opportunity for some narrative angus.
Like for example, lest say that kid Philip (KP for short) gets tired of waiting to find his brother. So he sneaks out of the castle to find him. He gets lost in the woods and meets that bell goose plasmin. (Let’s call her campana) and they end up bonding. So Kp and campana end up finding hunter. This leads to hijinks where in the end hunter some what lies to Kp about everything. In the end Kp learns the truth about everything he’s done as belos including killing Caleb and realizing he’s evil.
KP sacrifice himself for Luz, the collector now possessing him. And eventually both Kp and the collector are trapped. With then only one really knowing belos change of heart being hunter and Luz. This leads to hunter making a Grimm walker of Philip in secret.
Some notes: belos knows he cannot ever truly be  redeemed, but still wants to do what’s right. He realizes he is the villain and accepts this is how his story ends.
Sorry it’s just your au really inspired me.

just wanted to adres something cuz i've been getting a bunch of asks about the small mistake au
i know people want more of the au but like i said this au was made with my friend on dc as more of a one off thing since it was based on the meteora thing in svtfoe and i just went with it cuz the og idea i had in my head was basically that philip, yes did get deaged by the collector, but he wasn't a little kid instead he was about 18
and the reason for that was because in that au philip didn't become belos but instead his body got taken over by an entity that then became belos and philip was burried with the curse in the depths of his mind
but in this au the collector did it on purpose to get rid of belos cuz they saw his motivations as something that can mess with the day of unity since the collector has a different idea on what's gonna happen during the day of unity
and also philip knows everything that happened with belos since he saw all the memories while being stuck in the mindscape
and the whole being stuck in the castle thing is against his will since he doesn't agree with what the collector is doing
the reason i didn't post about it was because i thought people wouldn't be interested in this version cuz since my friend showed interest in the other version i though "damn i guess that's better"

So does Phillip and the collector still live at the castle I mean it makes sense since it'll be the 'safest' place for Phillip and it's the easiest place to still have control over the Day of unity since Phillip can't anymore. Also how does the collector keep people from knowing bout Phillip being a child now?
yup they still live in the castle and a part of the castle is restrained from anyone to enter except for the collector and that's where phlip is and he's not allowed to leave that part of the castle but when he does he gets chased down by the collector. no one knows it's him because ofc how would they

didn't expect people to actually be interested in it but alright
so basically the collector is freed by philip and possesses luz's body since their old body was destroyed and his soul put in a piece of glass (he can still use all his magic while in luz's body since he doesn't need a bile sac to use magic)
and on the other hand you have belos who after capturing the curse in his mind instantly regrets it cuz the curse, yes made him age quicker, but also prevented him from dying of old age. so a bit of an oopsie cuz he got rid of the only thing keeping him from dying of old age so his health is rapidly declining
so he decides to go to the collector and asks him to make him younger but after being trapped in a piece of glass the collector is a bit rusty at doing magic (but he just completely ignores that fact and just thinks 'yeah what's the worst that could happen')
so he obviously fucks up and accidentally makes philip like 10 again leaving him confused as hell as to where he is since he forgot everything. the collector decides to use this to his advantage since now they have a gullible witch hating kid to help them cause as much chaos.
also the reason why philip doesn't hate the collector for being a demon from a realm full of witches is because the collector lied to him about being a human (since he is in luz's body) who got cursed by a witch and that's why he's blue and yellow. philip ofc believes him being a literal 10 year old that got pulled out of the 16th (not literally just mentally)
possessed by the collector luz and deaged philip from an au me and my friend made up about belos wishing to be younger and the collector says “say no more” but fucks up

More of my thoughts on this theory beneath the cut! (Spoilers for Thanks to Them)
Okay so we all know Hunter is a grimwalker made from one of Caleb's bones, but I'm convinced it was his left hand specifically.
Like much of the fandom throughout season 2, I was intrigued by Hunter's gloves and his seemingly increased sensitivity regarding his hands. Like most people, I believed he had some scars there, or heck at least eczema, and couldn't wait for the show to finally reveal the mystery of Hunter's hands.
But then Disney Channel released the Monstober promo featuring this clip from Thanks to Them.

And I just went!!! what the heck!!! all that build up for nothing!? His hands were just so casually revealed like that? The episode wasn't even out yet and I was already going out of my mind trying to figure out what was going on there.
And then I got to Chapter 16 of Mr_Spinner's incredible fic Strength in Body and Mind and it all started to make sense. I won't spoil too much of the story for those who haven't read it yet, but a part of the plot involves Belos making a grimwalker out of Hunter's wisdom fangs, and this grimwalker often experiences pain in his teeth because of that. Hunter's hand(s) could very likely cause him pain for the exact same reason. Then couple that with the fact that as the Golden Guard, Hunter is often referred to as "The Emperor's Right Hand Man." No matter which hand was used, Belos would think that was hilarious, this is the same guy who came up with the name "Hunter" for a witch hunter's grimwalker.
So why the left hand specifically? Well, first in Hollow Mind it's Hunter's left hand that starts to tremble when the bird palisman disintegrates

and in Labyrinth Runners, it's his left hand again that hurts when Gus high-fives him (and no offense to Gus but that was not a very forceful high five).

BUT THEN Thanks to Them aired and I got the most compelling evidence of all.
As a semi-tangent, I'd like to point out first that Belos enters Hunter's bloodstream through the cut on his right hand. This of course is coincidence that Hunter hurt himself there, but it once again underlines the "Right Hand Man" title. This is relevant as the right hand is the only part of his body that Hunter is later not able to regain control over from his possession, which makes sense.
But the part that he first regains control over is his left hand.

How interesting would it be if out of all the parts in Hunter's body, the part he was first able to take back from Belos was the part donated to him from Caleb? The only part of him arguably not made by Belos? I think it would be very cool.
Please note that Belos himself is left handed, so if he is having to use his non-dominant right hand here that implies there has to be some serious resistance from the left. It is also the left hand that Hunter uses to throw the Titan's blood in the water, which makes sense given everything I've speculated so far.
Now, there are a couple counter arguments to this theory, the greater of the two being the fact that a hand is made of 27 individual bones. Why wouldn't Belos make 27 grimwalkers then? I propose that they are each too tiny. I mean come on. How could a teeny metacarpal carry the same weight as a femur or a rib? I think it would also be interesting if being made from many small bones instead of one large bone could have contributed to Hunter looking "the most like" Caleb.
The other less substantial argument is that it's actually Hunter's right hand that hurts after Willow shakes his hand in Any Sport In A Storm. To that I would argue Willow is strong. Like, really strong. She shook his hand so vigorously that his entire body was jerking around. I think that would hurt under any circumstances, plus Hunter seems to recover from this quicker than the above mentioned instances.
