Someone has an F1 Wings!AU and not only am I obsessed but now I can't stop imagining Kevin Magnussen with Swan Wings. It just makes sense, the swan is the national bird of Denmark and swans are notoriously pretty but angry (would fuck smash a door).
There is a reason why they tell you not to mess with swans, they are extremely territorial just imagine Kevin protecting his children by breaking someone's arm (there are multiple stories out there of swans doing just that, the whole thing goes don't mess with a swan cause they will mess you up)

everybody wants a team player like kmag who will sacrifice himself and 6 bystanders to ensure his teammate gets 1 point, but nobody wants to actually employ kmag. figures.

Kevin Magnussen has nothing to lose. Watch him drive like a criminal in an action movie as he sacrifices his Viking soul for team and teammate, culminating in Abu Dhabi in which he single-handedly takes out 17 cars to ensure Nico Hulkenberg gets his first F1 podium
you know...in 2014, there was this rookie on the grid who took a podium in his first race. and I immediately fell in love with him as a driver.
not because he took the podium, as amazing as that was. but because before the race, one he was starting in P4, he looked calmer than a typical rookie starting in P18. he was there to race, something he had done his entire life and there was no hint of nerves even if he was in F1 now.
after ten years, I think about that rookie a lot. In another universe he wasn't stabbed in the back by people who were supposed to look out for him and he had a brilliant career, winning races and fighting for championships, driving the fastest cars.
in this universe? he still had a brilliant career. he might not have fought for wins or podiums but y'know what, he fought for P9 as if it was a win. he fought tooth and nail for every point and he kept himself in the sport for 9 seasons, coming back twice from not having a seat. with no major backing, doing it all on his own. and god, if I'm not endlessly proud of him.
this is not the end of kev's career. he'll go on to do so many more brilliant things and I'll continue to be endlessly proud of him every step of the way.
if haas keeps kmag for next season considering the shit he's pulled fighting for hulk's life this year i can only imagine his dynamic with ollie will be something along the lines of the "morally grey action hero becomes entrusted with the care of a small child" trope

This quote from Will below (and in the video) made me feel a bit better. Kev sounds gutted and seems like he’s just realised Nico’s never gonna repay the help he’s given him.
