Some drawing experiments with Weyoun & Moopsy :D Based on "A match made in the laboratory" [ Ao3 Link ] [ First drawing ]

a drawing of weyoun reading a story to moopsy. moopsy is cuddled up to him as weyoun is laying on his belly. moopsy's chin is getting scratches. one tooth pokes out of moopsy's mouth.
The giant golden eye of Lore's is watching over them. The light of Lore's eye shines on them. weyoun's clothes are black/white, except for a golden bell around his neck. he wears black nailpolish with white tips.

more versions under the cut

the same outline of weyoun and moopsy reading, but drawn with white pencil on a black background, with no "coloring in".
the same outline again, but weyoun's body is mostly translucent, letting the background shine through. the background depicts purple, blue and pink swirls, as well as stars.

originally i hadn't planned on drawing more Weylore & Moopsy adventure's, but then i got inspired by @alverrann

a one-panel grayscale comic drawn in the style of gay comic artist gerard p. donelan, featuring garak and bashir from star trek deep space nine, specifically the episode our man bashir. garak looks around at the decor, and the caption reads as him saying "Tell me again, the difference between eclectic and tacky?"
rom and quark walking together. rom is smiling at quark, who is well-dressed, and talking while carrying several large shopping bags. the caption reads as quark saying, "I spend all this latinum on clothes so I don't HAVE to join a gym."
a single-panel comic of julian bashir and jadzia dax, they are in julian's quarters. julian is trying on his silver tennis jumpsuit and glaring down at jadzia, who is talking and laying on his bed which is strewn with clothes. the caption reads as jadzia saying, "Face fact, girlfriend. Butch is NOT your color."
Gul Dukat and Captain Sisko walking together. sisko is holding a raktajino and glancing in an annoyed way at Dukat, who is following close behind him with a hand on his shoulder, and excitedly saying "Tell me, Captain, is flogging still practiced on board ship?"
Garak, wearing a long, backless evening gown with opera gloves, looks annoyed as he opens his door to Julian Bashir, who is wearing a black tuxedo and bow tie. the caption reads as garak saying, "You did NOT say, 'black tie!' You said, 'formal!'"
Sisko and Garak sitting at a table together eating lunch. Sisko holds a raktajino and glances knowingly over his shoulder, while Garak leans towards him, gesturing with a spoon and saying, "He's not hung... but he IS very politically astute."
a single-panel comic of quark and odo at a brunch buffet table. odo is looking down his nose judgingly at Quark, who is leaning over to load up his plate with grubs. the caption reads as Quark saying, "Oh, please, girlfriend. Isn't brunch a little too early for attitude?"
Garak sitting and holding a glass of kanar, gesturing in an effeminate way with one hand and looking behind his shoulder at Quark, who is holding a bottle of kanar. the caption reads as Garak saying, "Darling! ... Being a bitchy queen is just about the most fun you can have without a phase disruptor!"
garak and julian bashir facing each other, dressed in reference to the episode "distant voices." julian is scowling at garak, who is handing him a present and saying, "So, is this the birthday that you officially enter spinsterhood? Or is that next year?"

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH YAAYYYY

I Don't Know If I'm Just Lucky Or Perhaps Star Trek Has Just The Nicest Fans Ever But This Commission

I don't know if I'm just lucky or perhaps Star Trek has just the nicest fans ever but this commission was - again - such a lovely experience! This time @hobbithabits was the client and wanted an age swapped version of Bashirs and Garaks first meeting based on this fic: https://archiveofourown.org/works/54883567 (Past Prologue (Introductions and Intrigue)) Older Bashir was no problem, I've already drawn him and we got lots of beautiful pics of Sid. But younger Garak was a fun challenge. And I couldn't resist giving him Andys fluffy choir boy hair >:D. Commissions still open <3

Pixel art of Benjamin Sisko in the style of an Eastern Orthodox icon painting of a Saint.

Doing Sisko in the style of an Eastern Orthodox Icon painting because recent events have got me thinking about that type of thing

"Have You Ever Heard Of The Phrase 'Keeping Your Cards Close To Your Chest'?"
"Have You Ever Heard Of The Phrase 'Keeping Your Cards Close To Your Chest'?"
"Have You Ever Heard Of The Phrase 'Keeping Your Cards Close To Your Chest'?"

"Have you ever heard of the phrase 'Keeping your cards close to your chest'?"

"Why no! Do enlighten me."

"It's a Human idiom. It refers to what one does in a game of Poker, when they want to keep their cards secret, they play them close to their chest so no one else can see the hand they possess."

"Ah, and it's some kind of metaphor for hiding the truth, I take it?"

"And how did you come to the conclusion I was talking of that my dear Mister Garak?"

"My dear doctor, was there ever such a time we didn't discuss this?"

4got to post this!

You know she had to do it to ‘em (by “them” I mean “the Teplans,” and by “it” I of course mean “virus-bomb their homeworld with super-HIV as punishment for rebellion, and also because it’s kinda funny”). She’s a real sweetheart, folks.

for me? it was s2e8 “necessary evil”. that’s when I knew deep space 9 was going to be different.

star trek has done murder mystery episodes before– yanno they’re fun, they’re a great format for a well paced forty five minutes where we can learn more about our characters and get some cheeky twists along the way.

“necessary evil” elevates that trope by setting the mystery on terok nor. it’s literally our first flashback look at the ugly political past of the space station. as an audience we’ve been learning to love and trust the warm vibes of the show’s setting– seeing a version of this place that’s dystopian, that’s horrific, that nonetheless features so many of the characters we know? it feels so fuckin visceral.

I will never forget the final twist in this episode. I will never forget learning alongside Odo what it really means for people to make the choices they must in the face of dehumanization, and the fallout that’ll haunt them for years. the realization that sometimes the most obvious truth is the profoundest one, and that sometimes all the twists in the world land you right where u started

the moment the character asks Odo if he can ever trust them again, and the shot lingers, and ends.

the episode ends there

that’s when I knew that this show wasn’t going to be like other trek. that’s when I knew this was going to be a story about the nuance, the incongruity, the unresolution and the things left hanging behind when an episode ends. that’s when I knew the writers on this show would wake up and choose artistic greatness in defiance of conventional tv wisdom.

thank you for my life, s2e8 necessary evil. we should talk about u more. xo.

hi!

starting a whole new blog instead of just an alt on my ancient old account! I had 27 alts on that one, it was untenable.

I'm a transmasc 33yo trying to get back into like... idk the interactive community part of fandom instead of just posting/consuming. I'm trying to find people who like trek/ds9 in a god-dishonoring way please, and boy it is tough to find that for an older fandom.

not to clog these tags but if you spend a lot of time here and have recs for who to follow lmk c:

**edited to add more info: I'm here for the garashir first and foremost, plus anything abotu the two of them individually, don't know the ship names but definitely quark/odo, kira/jadzia, odo/kira, in tng it's all data all the way down and also data/geordi, also v interested in the cardassians and dukat. truthfully tho I am open-minded and low on squicks so the sky's the limit
