I was thinking earlier about this post in which Zionists were flabbergasted that I pointed out Israelās "shoot to maim" policy, which has resulted in a generation on crutches in Gaza between 2018 and 2019.Ā
Of course, Zionists were trying to paint this as a stand-alone policy that Israel possibly came up with out of desperation of trying to contain Palestinians demanding for the siege to be lifted, a policy for which Palestinians should be thankful Israel isnāt killing but disabling Palestinians instead by sniping their kneecaps.
But hereās the thing: Israelās policy of "shoot to maim" can only be understood as an extension of Israelās policies from throughout the years of breaking the bones of Palestinians, and I mean that in the literal sense.
How many of you are aware of Israelās policy from the first Intifada of 1988, which was literally dubbed the "break their bones policy"?
This policy was initiated by then Israeli defence minister Yitzhak Rabin, who ordered and instructed Israeli soldiers to break the bones of Palestinian protestors with stones.
This was in 1988, over 35 years ago. Footage of Israeli soldiers capturing visibly unarmed, civilian protestors, hammering their elbows with bricks was broadcasted on TV screens everywhere. To this day I cannot unsee the gruesome footage, still etched in my mind as a stark example of Israelās cruelty.
During the first Intifada, nearly 30,000 Palestinian children sustained injuries due to beatings alone.Ā And here we are, in 2024, where in Gaza alone, 10 children lose a limb every single day.
At this stage, you cannot view Israelās terrorism as anything but connected; a continuance. All of these policies are connected by the same genocidal mindset of trying to break a people, both literally and figuratively, for decades on end.Ā

The BDS movement uses the historically successful method ofĀ targeted boycottsĀ inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the US Civil Rights movement, the Indian anti-colonial struggle, among others worldwide.
We must strategically focus on a relativelyĀ smaller numberĀ of carefully selected companies and products for maximum impact. Companies that play a clear and direct role in Israelās crimes and where there isĀ real potential for winning, as was the case with, among others, G4S, Veolia, Orange, Ben & Jerryās and Pillsbury. Compelling such huge, complicit companies, through strategic and context-sensitive boycott and divestment campaigns, to end their complicity in Israeli apartheid and war crimes against Palestinians sends a very powerful message to hundreds of other complicit companies that āyour time will come, so get out before itās too late!ā

Hi, my name is Mosab , and Iām from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today Iām sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.
This journey hasnāt been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from usā25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their loveā¦ all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.
Our Journey So Far
When I first reached out, I couldnāt have imagined weād make it this far. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.
But the road ahead is still challenging. Every day, weāre reminded of how much weāve lost and how much we still need to rebuild.

Animation is a labor. Itās tedious on the body and takes up a lot of physical time, itās a skill that takes years to perfect into the industry standard, in an industry thatās constantly changing. Artist should be paid fairly and treated fairly.
Artists shouldnāt have to worry about injuring their bodies due to time constraints and impossible amounts of work, for a wage that doesnāt bring food on the table or medical care in the long run. Art is created in stable environments.

In even more terrifying internet news, long story short, thereās a big committee happening in the US Copyright Office to try and talk about whether they should expand Content ID to the entire internet, and theyāre asking for public input.
So, tell them how much automated Content-ID-type systems suck and how Copyright enforcement needs to be relaxed not tightened.
Hereās the EFF Overview on this and why itās so important, hereās the rules/guidelines for submitting your form (Pay special attention to the Statement of Interest Questions, because itās those theyāre asking about), and here is the form itself.
