[12.08 am] "i'm home!" the familiar voice of your long time boyfriend—park sunghoon, could be heard across the studio apartment you both have been sharing since freshman year.
you spared a glance to the clock in the wall and it's already past midnight, yet sunghoon just barely got back from his daily practice—the life of a competitive figure skater, especially as a part of the national team representing the country, is indeed tough.
"how was practice?" you asked as soon as the glimpse of sunghoon's figure caught your vision.
"tiring as usual; managed to minimize the amount of my body meeting the ice ground though, the coach also said i've been doing pretty well these days," the figure skater replied with a hint of tiredness, both hands still busy taking off his shoes and padded jacket.
"that's great then?" you assured, sleepy smile spread across your face.
he subtly nodded then made his ways to you, arms automatically embraced your soft knitwear covered body that has been sitting on the couch for hours.
"i missed you," sunghoon's frail whisper made its way to your hearing, somehow lulled you to deep slumber.
and later, you both would found yourselves cuddling to sleep on the couch until the sun rises—also running late to your respective college classes, but at least the recollection of such comfortable and warm night in each other's embrace made your rather tough morning easier.
