“His dark eyes took me in, and I wondered what they would look like if he fell in love.”
— F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Love of the Last Tycoon
If you like Reylo, these suggestions below will definitely satisfy your need for something while we wait for episode 9.
1. Duelist (Korean Movie)Â
This is definitely an inspiration for Reylo, and I firmly believe they took inspiration from this for their relationship, the choreography in how they fight, the conflicting feelings, even the characters have similar appearances (Kylo being all in black, and Rey being in off white, like these characters).
2. Moon Lovers (Scarlet Heart Ryeo)
Definitely a hate to love story, and a slow progression, but definitely worth a watch, it’s beautiful and the characters are interesting and complicated. (Spoiler) Let’s hope it doesn’t end as sad as this show, it broke my heart.
3. Pride and Prejudice (2005)
This is among one of my favorite movies, simply because of it’s subtlety. Come on, this almost kiss was more steamy than an actual kiss.
4. Jodhaa Akbarr (Bollywood)
A long movie, but it’s gorgeous in cinematography, story and the two leads have chemistry that is through the roof. Arranged marriage where she ends up hating at first, and it being difficult but coming to love one another through many obstacles.
5. A Silent Voice (Anime)
And lastly, an anime you should watch. It is about a bully and how he treated a girl who is deaf, and having to work on making it right later on. It’s beautiful, sweet and shows how the way you treat people can effect them deeply. Definitely a watch you must see.
This shot is one of the most beautiful.

just remember, “poverty” is a social construct. when the economy collapses, the farms don’t disappear. goods don’t vanish from the stores. poverty is created through exclusion. it is violence. so when you see articles about how the pandemic could “plunge billions into poverty,” please remember that it’s not the virus that’s creating poverty.
if i have a warehouse stored full of grain, and a drought wipes out your crops, it’s not the climate that’s making you starve, it’s me with my refusal to share my stockpile.
“I’d spent so long trying to fit in, trying to be someone I wasn’t, that I had no idea who I was any more.”
— Dorothy Koomson, The Rose Petal Beach
