My Dearest Love
It was always a fantasy, a daydream I’d find myself slipping into every odd day. I’d stare at his chest, somehow hearing the blood circulating through his veins. Whoosh. Whoosh. Whoosh. Find myself swaying to each beat of his heart. Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Before he’d feel my eyes on him and turn, smiling at me. He was always so full of love. He’d take my hand and glide me to tomorrow, where everything would be fine. I’d slip again though, his heart lulling me to waltz into my reverie. I’d imagine how it’d feel closer . Envisionn myself carving it from its place, organ in hand as it thumped, thumped, thumped against my skin. As it always should be, should have been. But then he calls my name, warm honey to my ears, and I smile. I take his hand and dance the day away.

I think people get mixed up a lot about what is fun and what is rewarding. These are two very different kinds of pleasure. You need to be able to tell them apart because if you don't have a balanced diet of both then it will fuck you up, and I mean that in a "known cause of persistent clinical depression" kind of way.
