It's interesting how in Fablehaven 2, Coulter is introduced as a sexist jerk who Kendra despises, and then in every other book, that's never mentioned again.
Kendra hugs him after being kidnapped in book 4 and she seems to have forgotten everything. Not me—my petty self would have been like "Wow can you believe I managed to get away from the Society without your help?? I'm just a girl, how did I do that??"
"Kendra I just didn't take you on a field trip like six months ago, get over it"

Rereading fablehaven has reminded me that Seth canonically enjoys painting and hates jigsaw puzzles and I am very happy that I get to relearn that about him

I think that the problem with fablehaven main characters characters lies in their lack of personalities, only ones with some sort of it are Seth, Patton and Warren, although the latter I think is just sarcasm as the coping mechanism, while Seth and Patton share exactly the same one, that's just The Male Teenagerâ„¢.
Actually dragonwatch Seth had some character development, opposite to Kendra, who in the whole series not only doesn't have any character at all, also her only personality trait is not being as brave as her brother and randomly thinking that some characters are hot...
Maybe that's why I like the villains of this series so much. Vanessa, Gavin, Sphinx, Ronodin, every one of them have more interesting traits than the whole main cast altogether

I made green tea, but I forgot there was an old bag of chai in the kettle, so I mixed chai water with decaf green tea, then I mixed in like a half table spoon or something of that honey from the dollar store that they aren't legally allowed to call honey because there's too much corn syrup in it and some almond milk and a single drop of coffee creamer because we ran out and???? It tastes like??? Nothing????
