The director was like “Oh hey guys let’s do a close up on their hands to emphasize the importance of this gesture (as if making someone a mixtape isn’t already romantic enough), their fingers just inches apart to show have close but yet far away they are, that they share these little moments of intimacy but the weight of the unspoken feelings lingers heavy in the air oh and yeah let’s also make it look like the god damn fucking Michelangelo painting.. but nothing to see here.”
