I’ve already posted a few of these designs, but just for simplicity’s sake: HERE ARE ALL OF THE REDESIGNS for Golden Bat: Reimagined!
You might notice an extra character you don’t recognize: Priestess Amelia is a cult leader character created by @babblingbrookebutler for the sake of fleshing out the story some, and, well…
…she kinda ties directly into Mr. Dark Bat up there. If he looks like Golden Bat, gone Berserk Mode… good.
And yes, even Penny got a redesign. *mutters something about Penny only showing up in 2 episodes and is really just a minor character at best*
Anyhoot, this character design livestream was an absolute delight, and I can’t thank everybody who came out to it enough for all of your wonderful and helpful input! It’s been a blast, everyone, and I hope y’all enjoy the designs!
INKtober Day 26-DR NAZO
Japanese pop-culture’s first modern supervillain, Dr Nazo has been either a disfigured human scientist or an evil alien tyrant! However, no matter the origin, this costumed clawed madman left a infamous legacy of evil schemes, from creating monsters, to building many a death ray, to trying to hurl a rouge planet right at Earth, Nazo’s misdeeds would go to inspired many a villain in both anime and manga! Only the legendary GOLDEN BAT, the super-mummy from Atlantis, has the power and means to stand in his way!
Hey there, earthsong! Your Mario AU is pretty intriguing, and I'm curious to see how it keeps developing! Your take on Daisy is awesome, but I was wondering if in this AU there are any other combat sports besides boxing, and if Her Rowdiness is also interested in any of them...
"Her Rowdiness", that's hilarious xD
But yes, there's def more combat sports than just boxing! Kickboxing, wrestling, fencing, dueling, martial arts of all sorts. The one Daisy actually has a career in is Brawling, which is essentially a mixed martial arts sport but moreso in that everyone can use any fighting style they want and not so much the styles are mixed together to create one specific method of fighting. It also involves the use of magic combat so there's that as well.
Daisy appreciates all sorts of fighting styles, hell she's fought against pretty much all of them, so she has a vested interested in them. If not to perform herself, then to learn so she can use her noggin' when in the field. For Daisy though, the most prominent fighting style she uses is probably boxing. owo

Greetings, how are ya? I was wondering how you went about Aggroha's creation and what her personality is like.. She clearly enjoys fighting, but is it her great obsession or does she have room for any hobbies?
Woah, an ask! I'm doing great, thank you for asking and for paying my blog a visit! Okay, so to explain Aggroha's inception I'll need to explain a couple of things, because it's hard to talk about how I came up with creating Aggroha without also talking about Paahul. This is gonna probably be a longer read than you were expecting with these questions, but it's a fun thing to talk about! So here goes. Firstly, the setting that this game takes place in started as a personal setting I run tabletop games in. While I'm not a programmer by trade, I'm an avid tabletop GM and homebrewer, so using my pre-existing setting also as the setting for this game made sense to me, so that did a lot to limit species selection. You wouldn't be able to find any information on my setting without a lot of digging, so I've included the general species lineup for it here. I didn't want to have the player occupy any of the super tall or super short races because that would create gameplay problems and would limit opponent diversity because it'd be really hard to make a boxing game where an Eolian fights a Fonin (the unlabelled, tiny otter race on the far left of the screen) The three races I singled out for the player character ended up being Tor'cha, Chortin, and Bahaa as a result. Of the three, Chortin and Bahaa presented the most interesting possibilities for gameplay, particularly Bahaa, because in-universe every member of that species has some sort of capability to see the dead. I didn't end up going with that though! This may seem like kind of a basic thing to get stuck up on, but I had trouble deciding between two character ideas that were swirling around in my head. The first was for an aggressive Chortin fighter who fights primarily for money/the survival of their family and the second was for kinda a lovable loser of a Bahaa who fights more for fun, to make friends, and to better themself. Both of these seemed like compelling directions to take a player character in, with different strong motivations to stick around in a fighting league. In the end, I couldn't decide upon two things: The first were the sexes of the two characters, and the second was which one of them should actually be the player character. I ended up settling it with two coin flips. The result was that the Bahaa would be male and the Chortin female... And that the Chortin would be the player character and the Bahaa would be their rival. At first, I actually got a lot of anxiety about this result because I wasn't sure if people would enjoy playing a fighting game with a female main character, but as I worked more on the project and solidified the design of both characters that anxiety sort of melted away. It also helped when I realized that no matter what the result was going to be the player would spend most of the game seeing them from behind, so even if players didn't like the idea of a female fighting character they'd be seeing them from a fixed perspective where there wouldn't be much of a difference if you swapped their sex anyway. So that's where not only Aggroha, but also Paahul's general design comes from- I had two vague ideas about broad character archetypes to go with and I left it to coinflips to settle the particulars I got stuck on. Now, as for Aggroha herself: Aggroha's personality is, unsurprisingly, very direct and somewhat aggressive. She's very to-the-point, prefers simple solutions to problems, and generally she's not very patient. That being said, she isn't short-tempered, and while she isn't the smartest around, she does have a quick wit that lends her to occasionally try to make wisecracks that don't quite make sense. Socially, she's willing to lock horns with or fight others about things she's passionate with, and while she doesn't intentionally try to create drama she will absolutely get in verbal (and physical) brawls to defend things she has an interest in. As a general rule, she's confident and confrontational, although not particularly charismatic.
The funny thing though is that her relationship with fighting is more of a business relationship than anything else-- She's a single parent with at least one other mouth she has to feed. That takes up most of her time outside of the ring, so unfortunately aside from being able to whoop some serious ass she doesn't have that many marketable skills or hobbies, and she comes from a lower-class background. That's not to say she doesn't have potential- She's a quick-learner and is amazing at pattern recognition, but she just doesn't have the spare time to dedicate to other things. She takes more pride in the fact that she's good at what she does moreso than the actual occupation, if that makes sense. She does care about her legacy in the sense that she would like to take her run in the ring as far as she can push it because it would make for a good story, but actually having and keeping the champion's title isn't what drives her to fight.

Hello, Eric! How are you doing? My inquiry is...
Q: When you first started working alongside Player First Games for MultiVersus, was Black Adam intended to be part of the roster, or did he come later on down the road?
When I started working on it, there was just Reindog and a huge list of WB characters labeled “possibilities???”
alright, so here’s the deal since I need to come clean with y’all
I’m paying off my 2021 year taxes since I owed them money and stuff, I made a payment plan with TurboTax and shit and I’ve already made 2 payments out of 4. I’ve been paying that pack easy and on time; no issues there. However, I got a letter from the irs saying I was 2 months late on my payments (which I wasn’t) apparently I made the payments in the wrong year or section?? I have no fucking clue tbh; I thought I was paying it right but apparently not. BUT luckily the 2 payments I made were still under my name and social but they were unclaimed. I gave them a call to sort it out and got the 2 payments back to the balance of where it should’ve gone! I was firm to tell them I was already in a payment plan (I have them the 2 last dates on the other 2 payments I need to do) and we AGREED to stick by it. All is good, I thought I sorted it out. I got another letter confirming it and everything. Awesome!
Then yesterday I got YET another letter from the irs, basically they want me to pay the full remaining balance (aka: 3.5k) by AUGUST 28th of next month. So uh, I’m a little stressed out and anxious about that because idk about y’all but I literally do not have 3,500 dollars. IF I DID…I WOULD’VE PAID IT OFF.
So now I have to wait for the 4th to pass so I can give them a call and ask them why they decided to fully charge me the rest by that date instead of the payment plan we agreed on. If worst comes to worst; they’re going to tell me it’s all due on august with no exceptions. And if it is, I’m literally screwed. Because I do NOT have that kind of money.
Part of me wants to open comms but I literally can’t, my body will not handle that kind of pressure with what I already have on my shoulders. I would take like maybe 2 comms but I deadass doubt anyone would even pay 100 dollars for my art. It’s not that good enough unless it’s a comic and right now? I don’t wanna be doing comic comms. No way.
And what’s worse is that I haven’t paid for shipping on the other plush orders that are done (sun, moon and teddy Freddy and Gregory) as-well as gotten the bulk order on the keychain plushies finalized because the met amount hasn’t been reached yet. I honestly wanted to cry because I felt like a complete failure,
I am not nor will I ever use the money for shipping to make any other purchases than what they are intended for, that would be irresponsible of me to do so. That money was from you guys for me to ship your orders and that will NOT be touched.
My friends lightly suggested that I upped my princess on the plushies because they cost a lot more to produce and ship, and they’re right but if I charged more then they won’t be affordable and won’t make much sales, I’m thinking after the keychain plushies I should just go back to sticking with chains, pins and stickers. BUT what I will do is charge the keychain plushies from 30 to 40 dollars because I sold my blueberry plush for 40 so it’s only fair.
I wouldn’t be struggling too much if I knew what I was doing as a small business owner but since I’m new to it I practically don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been suggested to look for other stuff that I can do for me to make a profit while not spending too much. And target stuff I know will sell well.
But right now? I gotta go as planned, so I am begging for help.
Please please let’s try to get the stuff on my shop sold out for me (if possible), you can share to whoever you want and purchase whatever you see of interest in my shop! And if you can leave a tip that’ll help a lot!
And if you can’t buy anything on my shop, that’s okay! You can also buy me a Kofi or two! ANYTHING helps!
I’m trying to prepare for the worst, I just hope that’s not the case but I’m deadass loosing my grip. so PLEASE PLEASE help me in any way you can if you want!
The goal for my stuff is to make others happen with stuff that I create, art is something I love to do and want to make a career out of, and your support would mean a lot! Thanks!
I’ll update y’all on what happens after I give the damn irs a call on Tuesday. In the meantime, im gonna try not to spiral. Links to my Kofi, Shop and even Paypal are down below! Thank you!
Hi friends, I really do not want to do this but my dad last week had an infection (?) from an ingrown nail due to diabetes, and I owe our neighbor almost 100 usd because of food and transportation and my dad going in and out of the Dr office because of his diabetes. I only have 80 usd to last me until the middle of June and I'm so swamped with work, I dunno what to do 🥹. Our electricity bills just dropped and it's so much. On this day, 7 December 1928, Avram Noam Chomsky, legendary activist, linguist and author was born to a Jewish immigrant family in Philadelphia. Chomsky came to prominence as an activist as an outspoken critic of the Vietnam war, for which he was arrested several times and placed on President Richard Nixon’s official list of enemies. He has since become one of the world’s leading critics of US foreign-policy, and one of the most cited scholars alive. Politically Chomsky usually identifies with currents including libertarian socialism and anarchism, stating: “I was attracted to anarchism as a young teenager, as soon I began to think about the world beyond a pretty narrow range, and haven’t seen much reason to revise those early attitudes since.” And despite dark times, Chomsky believes that we have to face our challenges with optimism: “Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, it’s unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. If you assume that there’s no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, there are opportunities to change things, there’s a chance you may contribute to making a better world. The choice is yours.” Yesterday, WCH was very happy to host the launch of Chomsky’s new book with author James Kelman, Between Thought and Expression Lies a Lifetime: Why Ideas Matter. You can get it, along with our book for which Chomsky contributed the foreword, in our online store: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/collections/all/noam-chomsky https://www.facebook.com/workingclasshistory/photos/a.296224173896073/1871057279746080/?type=3
On this day, 9 December 1842, one of the founders of contemporary anarchist communism, Peter Kropotkin was born. An activist, scientist, and philosopher, he abandoned his aristocratic background in favour of the revolutionary working class struggle. He participated in the 1917 Russian revolution, and wrote numerous influential works, including Mutual Aid: a Factor of Evolution. In this work he criticised interpretations of the ideas of Charles Darwin which focused on competition, and highlighted instances of cooperation in the natural world. “If we … ask Nature: ‘who are the fittest: those who are continually at war with each other, or those who support one another?’ we at once see that those animals which acquire habits of mutual aid are undoubtedly the fittest. They have more chances to survive, and they attain, in their respective classes, the highest development of intelligence and bodily organization.” These ideas continue to be influential today. Evolutionary biologist Stephen Jay Gould wrote of Kropotkin: “I would hold that Kropotkin’s basic argument is correct. Struggle does occur in many modes, and some lead to cooperation among members of a species as the best pathway to advantage for individuals. If Kropotkin overemphasized mutual aid, most Darwinians in Western Europe had exaggerated competition just as strongly. If Kropotkin drew inappropriate hope for social reform from his concept of nature, other Darwinians had erred just as firmly (and for motives that most of us would now decry) in justifying imperial conquest, racism, and oppression of industrial workers as the harsh outcome of natural selection in the competitive mode.” We have made available several of Kropotkin’s works, as well as a brand new beautiful illustrated edition of Mutual Aid in our online store. Check them out here: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/collections/all/peter-kropotkin https://www.facebook.com/workingclasshistory/photos/a.296224173896073/1871872012997940/?type=3
I love that Tolkien took a paragraph aside in Bree, after all the horses were run off, just to let us know that A) Merry’s ponies were going to be fine and B) Mr. Butterbur would not, in the long run, suffer financially by the incident. He understood what was really important.
Hey all! I finally caved and made a transition GoFundMe. Any share is appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read this!
Hackers...
Hi, been a hot minute, but
its more of an instagram fiasco, however it wouldn’t hurt to post it here too.
All of this, for bitcoin and money. Greed is truly a horrid thing. Below are screenshots of this guys cashapp and the fake post he made on my friends account. I may be too hopeful, but I’m hoping they get caught and are also charged with identity theft. Pretending to be my friend to hack others he knows and those who follow him… I’m heated.
Be safe, guys.
Another thing, please just block the account if you have an instagram. My bud is in the process of getting it back, but all we can do to stop this guy in their tracks is block the account anywhere it goes.

On this day, 11 August 1964, 18-year-old Scottish anarchist Stuart Christie was arrested in Madrid while carrying explosives to blow up Spain’s right-wing dictator general Francisco Franco. Christie was working with the underground anarchist resistance to the regime, which began after Franco’s victory in the Spanish civil war in 1939. However, unbeknownst to Christie at the time, the resistance group had been infiltrated and its plan betrayed. When Christie went to an American Express office in Madrid, he noticed a member of staff alerting undercover police, and promptly left. He later recounted to the Guardian newspaper: “I felt curiously detached as I took a deep breath and walked out of the office, trying to keep my face expressionless. Mustering all the confidence I could, I paused at the doorway to look at the group of five men now standing to one side of the entrance. Until I appeared at the doorway they had been deep in conversation. They stopped briefly, exchanging knowing looks with one another, and carried on. An empty taxi pulled in to the pavement beside me. But when the driver appeared to invite me to get in, I knew it was an undercover police car. I was being hemmed in. By this time I had reached the corner of the busy calle Cedaceros. As I steeled myself to make a dash through the crowds I was suddenly grabbed by both arms from behind, my face pushed to the wall and a gun barrel thrust into the small of my back. I tried to turn my head but I was handcuffed before I fully realised what had happened. It was all over in a matter of moments.” When arrested Christie was wearing a kilt, which confused the Spanish press in to describing him as “a Scottish transvestite.” He was sentenced to 20 years in prison but after an international campaign in his support he was released in 1968. Christie remained active supporting and helping record the history of the Spanish resistance movement until the end of his life in August 2020. https://www.facebook.com/workingclasshistory/photos/a.296224173896073/1781778678673941/?type=3
SO. Saving to help my mom out is going well!! Thank you so much to the individuals that have shared and commissioned me before, for real it means so much to me.
BUT… unfortunately, because of a little burn out with large pieces of art, Im gonna be making my comms doodle/chibi commissions to help prevent that massive burnout.
Payment will be through Paypal, Venmo as a last resort. PM me if you’re interested!
Feel free to send in asks about your favorite kaiju, or even just to request a doodle. (Mutuals (people I follow who also follow me) are welcome to send in asks/interactions with thair kaiju characters with mine!)
Just a lil announcement toward my new following as an artist who is now contributing to the monsterverse fandom 🐋
as they were mentioned, @ridicbird has some very neat comics and artwork (especially of their oc) and you should definitely check them out!! but yeah! Asks are open, fire away!
Tbh, the only rules to this is to keep it sfw and not to ask anything personal. I’ll only do the kaiju oc doodles for mutuals (people I follow who also follow me!) Other than that, free reign!

Waaay back in the olden days (2012) Pixar storyboard artist Emma Coats gave some amazing writing tips. I love these and have read them dozens of times.
#1: You admire a character for trying more than for their successes.
#2: You gotta keep in mind what’s interesting to you as an audience, not what’s fun to do as a writer. They can be v. different.
#3: Trying for theme is important, but you won’t see what the story is actually about til you’re at the end of it. Now rewrite.
#4: Once upon a time there was ___. Every day, ___. One day ___. Because of that, ___. Because of that, ___. Until finally ___.
#5: Simplify. Focus. Combine characters. Hop over detours. You’ll feel like you’re losing valuable stuff but it sets you free.
#6: What is your character good at, comfortable with? Throw the polar opposite at them. Challenge them. How do they deal?
#7: Come up with your ending before you figure out your middle. Seriously. Endings are hard, get yours working up front.
#8: Finish your story, let go even if it’s not perfect. In an ideal world you have both, but move on. Do better next time.
#9: When you’re stuck, make a list of what WOULDN’T happen next. Lots of times the material to get you unstuck will show up.
#10: Pull apart the stories you like. What you like in them is a part of you; you’ve got to recognize it before you can use it.
#11: Putting it on paper lets you start fixing it. If it stays in your head, a perfect idea, you’ll never share it with anyone.
#12: Discount the 1st thing that comes to mind. And the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th – get the obvious out of the way. Surprise yourself.
#13: Give your characters opinions. Passive/malleable might seem likable to you as you write, but it’s poison to the audience.
#14: Why must you tell THIS story? What’s the belief burning within you that your story feeds off of? That’s the heart of it.
#15: If you were your character, in this situation, how would you feel? Honesty lends credibility to unbelievable situations.
#16: What are the stakes? Give us reason to root for the character. What happens if they don’t succeed? Stack the odds against.
#17: No work is ever wasted. If it’s not working, let go and move on - it’ll come back around to be useful later.
#18: You have to know yourself: the difference between doing your best & fussing. Story is testing, not refining.
#19: Coincidences to get characters into trouble are great; coincidences to get them out of it are cheating.
#20: Exercise: take the building blocks of a movie you dislike. How d'you rearrange them into what you DO like?
#21: You gotta identify with your situation/characters, can’t just write ‘cool’. What would make YOU act that way?
#22: What’s the essence of your story? Most economical telling of it? If you know that, you can build out from there.

Hope you liked these!

if someone is not responding to you, they may not be just acting rude. They may actually not be able to hear you
when you find out out someone is deaf, please try not to let the first words that come out of your mouth be “I’m sorry.” or “I could never live like that.” Deafness is not some terminal illness that we suffer through everyday.
If you see someone struggling to communicate, please do not make them the center of attention. Trust me. The last thing I want when I can’t understand is someone pointing out that I can’t understand.
if someone is struggling to communicate, and you know sign language, please ASK before you start interpreting. Yes, we appreciate the kind offer, but not everyone is comfortable with some stranger intervening. Also, not all deaf people know sign.
-When you see someone with hearing loss jamming to their music in public, and you can hear it, please do not ask them to turn it down. It’s really ruse, considering it may just be loud enough for them to hear it or feel the vibrations.
NEVER cover your mouth and ask if we can hear/understand you. It’s really insensitive. Most of the time, reading lips is very important for people who are deaf to communicate.
Obviously, never ask how they get and keep their jobs. I feel like I shouldn’t have to explain this one.
Do not, DO NOT, under any circumstances, encourage or promote the use of technical devices such as hearing aids or cochlears to ANY deaf person. Many of us struggled with these devices as children. As we get older, we start to decide for ourselves if we want to use them. I respect people who their devices, but i do not respect hearing people who know nothing about them suggesting them.
do not ask “if you’re deaf, how can you speak so well?” It’s basically the same kind of thing as above. many deaf children are fitted for hearing aids/cochlears and sent to speech therapy the minute their hearing parents find out. Some deaf people can speak, some people can sign and speak, and some can sign. It’s honestly their choice, and sometimes it’s not a choice.
if there’s anything else that you want to know, but just for a slight moment you think “I don’t want to come across as rude,” DO NOT ASK.
Thank you for reading. The Deaf Community would love it if these were actually followed. :)
